How to treat ALL platform fans with disdain. Premium availability of game for £30 - not expanding on the additional content in the special addition. Next year, pay £180 for 3 months early play...with same additional content.

I've got it for £38.99 (admittedly with a discount). But yep...with other games, the general gap between retail and download is larger. I really don't get why it's so much for something they effectively post 'once' with some licensing intelligence and then they can "forget about it" until they feel it should be reduced.
Looking great. Kinda understand what naruga is trying to say - but I don't get that feeling in any way. Looks vast and desolate still to me. Possibly more so...

I still can't see why there's a need to charge (in UK) £22 more for this than a physical copy. It's insane. I know it's not necessarily Sony. But it's still insane.
I'd use the store all the time if there was a closer correlation to the lower price (that of producing a physical disk, cover, inserts and box!...

Point is - Sony entrusted a fairly iconic series to them and they did a near faultless job. Deserve the chance of the remake (...I's learning)!

Bit unfair. This isn't the same as fanboys discussing PS/XB. Switch is unique in the market and I'm intrigued...to the extent of reading about them. Kids had several Gameboys, DS's and a Wii - and if I knew it wasn't a Wii U (from a game support perspective), then I could be tempted. But at the moment, I'm personally hedging my bets.

Early days - other large 3rd parties are testing the water. Trouble is, Switch uses (not all but) predominantly have the switch for Nintendo releases anyway. If these recent 3rd party announcements don't sell, then that 3rd party support will dry up...
Oh I agree about the unlocking. But I've played Eagle City about 10-12 times and still not got another course. Tier the unlocks to encourage progress...
Lot of slog in single player to unlock courses and additional content.
BUT had a few good couch play sessions where things have got quite competitive. One of the best with mates that don't mind "sports" games!
PCs don't get stronger every year for everyone. Most people will retain the core of their PC for a few years. And most people updating are getting a potentially superior hardware build - but NOT if the development team aren't coding it that way. I hesitate to say that their bad developers all the time, as there are so many combinations to support AND as you point out, hardware moves at a pace.
