Looks like the shadows got better, but it looks like they also got wonky and messed with other details. Most notably the man at the desk and the quarantine symbol. I was only going to play the beta on PS4 because my friends but now I'm tempted to use it on PC instead.
Like FamilyGuy said.
Seems like they might just have a mistake with the settings.
As well as what ABizzel1 said. Both consoles should be as good as a 650ti, better in fact. ...
Look. I'm tired of this. CPU hardly matters at all here. They are nearly identical. Any developer can offload process into the substantially more powerful GPU.

Google the benchmark on both systems. PS4's CPU performs slightly faster even with the speed being slower. This is because the PS OS is better and...
@ScaReCrow90
You don't like indie games? PS still has more AAA games with substantially higher scores. It's completely bull crap if you pretend Indies aren't a big deal. But, still more AAA games on PS.
@thexmanone
Just because you think it sounds catchy doesn't make it make sense. You waited 9 months last year for another exclusive. And, got another disappointing Halo.
They offer $200 off the pre-order of an Oculus. That's awesome. Hopefully this line up of PC's are fairly priced. VR needs all the marketing it can get
Maybe, another raid and set of missions that expands it into Destiny 2, without making it feel like just a demo of D2.
Would be nice if we can keep accessing our Destiny 1 games without swapping discs or applications.
Definitely. I am very excited for new hardware because of the smaller nanometer chips coming! It's a pretty good step towards worthwhile upgrades. Still, like you said, not a huge deal if you already have a good CPU for a desktop, but on laptops it will be great because of the much reduced power usage, making cooler temperatures much more feasible while having higher performance. Same with the GPU. We already have high end desktop GPU's in a few high-end laptops and with this improvem...
I'm hoping for a high-end video card and Oculus/Vive bundle.
I do wonder if either will be seriously applied to any other function. Many have already talked about things like surgery done remotely with VR as the eyes and controls. I'm thinking if a company uses a 360 degree camera to live feed objects in need of a check up to experts it can be useful for a visual check up before diagnosing.
Very good point. That completely slipped my mind.
But, I wouldn't expect it to be an extreme cost difference.
@SteamPowered
I can believe that.
I was hoping for an analysis for the cost of parts for manufacturing. But, obviously no one has the unit on hand yet to tear apart and show us an estimate. I'm really curious how much they make per unit, because like everyone else, I do find it a little steep considering how prominent screens and most sensors it uses are nowadays.
I have a NVidia card, but I hate exclusive graphical effects. PhysX is one thing because you can install it and run it off CPU. But, if this is just only NVidia cards, period, then that sucks. Hopefully a mod finds a way to enable it for AMD.
It won't ruin the game. But, it would be a nice addition. Lighting is very appealing. It looks pretty good otherwise.
I've never had an issue with hit detection. There is little aim-assist and you have to be accurate. IF you play shooters often you are probably used to the leeway some of them give you.
Probably, more open-environment. Like MGSV:PP on your ocean base except in London or wherever the sequel takes place. Then, when it's time you talk to a character to progress a storyline mission, you access a board with reports of strange beasts to hunt, you take part in online missions, or you walk to several gates in the area to access a part of the surrounding city leading to multiple baddies and liberating these areas one at a time to draw out the bigger baddies.
I t...
One type of gamer simply likes the feeling of instant gratification. They love games that simply give them a ton of random upgrades even if they are very small things like a stat increase pretty often or a slightly upgraded weapon very often. I love content and getting better loot but some games depend on this to pull people in, but the reality of it is that enemies get harder to and some games just give you an increase more so as a tool to keep your interest but in reality the enemies are st...
Finally, a realistic prediction. Sony said it would be about the same price as a new console. Does that mean the current price of a brand new PS4 at $300? Or, does it mean the launch price of a brand new console at around $400? Aside from PS3 which cost a lot for obvious reasons.
I believe they will have the headset with a camera for $300-$400 and then headset, camera, and two Move controllers for $50 more. I'm sure they will include a variation of the PS Gold headset in ...
You get it.
I bought a PS camera two months ago on sale for $45 because I planned on getting PSVR. I expect a standalone headset SKU for those that already have peripherals. I expect a SKU with the headset and camera. Then, I expect a SKU with the headset, camera, and Move controllers. Not every game uses Move and many already have them so they most likely won't force anyone to spend extra money.
What some people also don't notice is that Sony doesn&...
I feel like it might be a long time kind from now kind of hope. Like 5-10 years from now kind of hope. Don't forget Konami but for right now they seem to have stopped being themselves due to ignorant higher ups. I get that MGS was stressful for them for how much money and time it took. But, Silent Hills was going to be absolutely an insane money maker and I doubt it would have taken nearly as long as MGS.
Hopefully the Vive has the budget VR market down. We need a teardown for Oculus by someone who realistically understands the price of the parts.
The PS4 is also required to play PS4 games. How bout that?
Look at the list of PSVR games, not only that, but the games for VR on Oculus which many that are not already will eventually be sure to make their way to PSVR unless exclusive contracts hold them back. It is being pushed by several multi-billion corporations. Not just one. It isn't just limited to PSVR. It is Oculus, Vive, and other VR solutions on PC. This means a lot of transitions from PC to PS4 and vice versa...
I really don't know what people mean by sparse on content. I do however think they need to balance the importance of raids.
For example. They should have three main raids that are just as difficult but unique. You get a very slightly better chance at something good once you've completed each one. This stores gems or runes that charge off every time you complete all three. One full charge grants you access to the biggest raid. A one time fee, but you can store many.
