Not really. Sony learned that actions speak louder than words. And, until realistically ready for reveal, have neglected to announce things as far ahead as they have in previous generations. Sure, they still show games that don't come out for years, but that's because they mean it as a promise. Great games are always coming to their console for its entire lifetime and you can tell that with the games they show at every show. They still release great games every year even if they revea...

Since MS has recently clarified it's not a new XBox generation, just something similar to a mid-gen upgrade like the PS4 Pro, I wouldn't get this since the new consoles will come in 2-ish years. You already have the Slim like you said.

If anyone has the extra cash for the Scorpio that have the new Slim, especially if they also had the original XBox 1(so they essentially bought it twice already), they should definitely look into a gaming PC at that rate. Shouldn'...

Indeed. It's not like it will drop to anything that looks bad. If it can play 4k decently than it shouldn't have issues keeping above 1080p. Similar to how the PS4 Pro has many games well above 4K, but not native 4k. Though, it does have a good amount of native 4K games. I hope they allow the options like certain PS4 Pro games to choose more graphical effects or framerate over just a 4K bump.

I'm very confident that adaptive scaling will be in just about every Scorpio game to avoid frame dropping.

Why do you keep saying beast? Do you say this for every new hardware launch? Performance is always going to increase, unless in cases of Nintendo.

I think the only real "beast" on release was the PS3. It was hefty, very heavy, and feature packed. Bluray, wifi, interchangeable HDD, the biggest change in a generation leap we've had, bluetooth, a bloody SD card reader, and I believe the launch ones had 4 USB's. Everything else I feel is more of "expecte...

Arms seems fun, but I think we all want a new IP with as much depth as a proper Zelda, Mario, or Metroid game. Though, the new Zelda is amazing and the new Mario looks awesome as well.

I disagree. I wish it would allow connectivity to the dock while the Switch is disconnected to allow a Wii U-like control just for streaming content. If we have cheap "smart" devices that sell as well as they do, I think we will see one built into the dock in the future for a feature like this.

If you are complaining about one side, then you are a part of the problem. It doesn't matter what side has more or less. They still have people with the same personality traits that create flamebait or hostility, that simply like a different platform or product. Just stop trying to pretend only one side is false. Both have these kinds of people.

No, they have gone down roughly the same. While, MS has had slightly less downtime, their online exclusives have had more issues with lag and buggy matchmaking at launch. Which, kind of defeats the purpose of being online sometimes.

I think they should make an open-world KillZone. Airships and all. With co-op. Destiny-esque in ways. But, all about advanced technology and without magic-type gear.

Many will buy an external for "convenience" but in reality, it's more convenient inside the system for less clutter and to leave a USB open.

Hmm, I both disagree and agree with that. Horizon has more in depth tools to take down its foes. However, Zelda: BoTW does have more variety in its gameplay and freedom. Well, it's one of Zelda's trade-marks to have simple yet solid combat with a few tricks here and there. It's definitely a more accessible game. I have Horizon, but I've been playing Zelda constantly since I got the Switch. Keep in mind it also has many non-combat scenarios thrown in the mix. And, seeing the gi...

You know what is quite obvious about this demonstration compared to the local machine(with the 980ti)? They clearly didn't properly offload any physics to the GPU, So, if the graphics aren't pushing the card, then clearly the physics aren't taking advantage of it. They mention the GPU to mislead anyone that knows that it is a strong PC part. In reality it's obviously running them on the CPU that they tasked poorly.

There is no way a 980ti would dip so low fo...

Best HDD is an internal one. Unless you specifically want it to be external. Replace the internal one for better convenience and more USB's open. Afterwards, grab an external if you need one!

Have you got one? Mine's also working fantastic, despite me rushing to put it together and put the shoulder strap on upside down, whoops!

I felt it was a little small, which is understandable. But, after some time it feels pretty good, like a nice variant of the GameCube controller. I also like the analogs in the same spots on both sides for a nearly identical grip with both hands. But, it's fine after getting used to it and I understand it's for allowing other...

My Wii was broke a few days after launch as well. Though I was very sad about it at the time. Two and a half months of not being able to find one at Target, with the refund for the console on a gift card.. I ended up getting the PSP and MGS Portable Ops. This was actually one of the best decisions I ever made. I was ridiculously good at it. I believe I used my old name "Edge of Sins" at the time. Either way, a lot of people told me I was one of, if not the best, on the NA servers B)...

So, you're saying only on MS platforms. Which, are not the only focus here. Only because they are MS platforms do they have the convenience to port in between. Though, it wasn't obvious, I was quite literal when I said "in the first place". But, it took until Vulkan and Mantle for MS to finally address the long standing overhead of DX. PS4

Yeah, OpenGL has been in a slump, which is why Vulkan was made and called OpenGL's spiri...

Okay, you think if Sony didn't also own those companies that it wouldn't be annihilation? Or, Nintendo? What is your point? Are you bragging with imaginary circumstance rather than judging them by their real world performance, which is lacking?
