Really? You think no dev before this would have called them out for showing a worse performing version? Did you read the article? What was wrong was the resolution they told. It scales to 1080p to keep framerate up, but isn't always 1080p. That's it. The rest was true.
@ImGumbyDammit
Sony said they were working on PS4 as soon as PS3 released. They never stopped designing and throwing things on a board as they went along. Not that they would already begin prototyping or anything expensive. But, products like these are always on the drawing board. They already said they're working on PS5. Even if they didn't say they were, it's common sense that they are. They just aren't gallivanting around trying to make more headlines to ...
Would be interesting if Bioware took over the franchise. Not trying to change the game from what it is, but fleshing out the potential of what it should have been after the first one.
@dantesparda
The more you know!
@DrumBeat
Sony had a further customized version of the Jaguar chip that both the PS4 and X1 use, but has 50% more onboard GPU cores. They also have a separate chip to handle background downloads, standby, and saving the last 15 minutes of game footage. Not to mention that the RAM is DDR5, not DDR3. All at a vastly smaller size with a built-in power supply. Not to mention, despite all the 360 iterations, that the PS3 was vastly more expensive to build and yet they still thre...
"It's interesting to *see* the most popular GPUs. . ."
Are you sure you were looking?
1060 is right behind and the 970 and 1070 are up there as well. They are better GPU's.
Steam survey is also random but seemingly focused towards PC's with recent changes to hardware. So, if you built an entire computer, you'd probably not get surveyed until way down the line. Basically, if you just swap in the next budget grap...
The only unique game of that list is Cuphead.
Halo Wars 2 bombed with what little fans the series had. It's not a solid game.
Yearly or every other year franchises lose impact. If you play a diverse list of games then you'll know.
PUBG is a "console launch exclusive" and the release was terribly plagued with issues and being rushed. I play on PC. It's fun but it's not a one of a kind game. Fortnite is free and...
@JonnS
"no hardware to worry about"
The hardware you have to worry about is out right now. They should have put money towards software development, NOT advertisement, stop talking about it all the time, and actually do it. A new console generation starts around 2019/2020. Your XBox One X would have been a waste just to play a few 3rd party games at better settings. The hardware is great bang for the buck in performance, but it's a dead end s...
@zerocarnage
Yes. But, the thing is.. They have high performance hardware now. It's not the same case anymore as it was for the XBox One not hitting 1080p even with some lower graphics settings. The hardware far outperforms all of that to make higher than 1080p while having higher graphics settings than before. It can do both. Yet, because they want 4K to be such a big marketing term, they settle for lower graphics settings and performance instead when it's still no...
Why do people keep spewing "best hardware" nonsense? It's 2017, almost 2018, and the console launched at a $500 price tag. Of course, it's the strongest hardware on the market at the moment. That still doesn't make it good as a console. If they made it use a normal version of Windows or allow SteamOS then that would be an entirely different situation. But, they won't. As great as the hardware is for the money, it makes it even more obvious how screwed up Microsoft...
By "shadow" it means either a person who was thought to have died, but survived and sought vengeance. Or, someone who has renounced their former lifestyle to join a secret organization, faking their death or fading out of view; leaving behind everyone and everything they love to become a sort of ninja-esque figure to carry out bloodshed for a purpose. Shadows will be left behind instead of bloodstains. If you live in the shadows then you've already died once. When your time fina...
We're talking about pioneering proper 3D movement. Not perfecting it. History aside, the product itself pioneered proper 3D movement. It's more important for the industry.
Yeah. I always found it more beautiful artistically and the graphics were fair so it always drew me in aesthetically.
If they re-release it and add DLC for the "last world"(the broken stone in the Nexus) then it would be absolutely insane. A graphics revamp would be astounding as well.
I'm going to get a PS3 just to play my downloaded copy again. I really wish I could have Souls games on my Switch.
Until further notice, it is more likely that this is not an exclusive IP. Why wouldn't this be announced as a XBox exclusive if they get flamed for no exclusives so much? They worked with MS for money. It doesn't mean they want to stay on one side. Especially, since the last one did so well. Now they have more budget to make what they want to and hopefully be fully independent, aside from a third party publisher.
It was very short, repetitive, and wasn't anything fresh even when it tried to break away from regular combat.
"A QTE fest like every PlayStation exclusive". QTE's aren't a big deal. It depends how you deliver them. Games like Until Dawn are obviously not focused on gameplay and require QTE's to allow the story freedom it offers.
I remember The Order getting extreme amounts of hate for show one or two QTE scenarios in a gameplay...
Unless a positive rumor is over-gratuitous, they probably wouldn't debunk something that makes the product look good.
Hopefully, my work-related trip is delayed till next week just so I can play this on the way. 16+ hour flight. lol
"Nothing like it ever created" and "Most powerful console" will be true every time a new Sony or MS console comes out. It's not revolutionary. It's expected electronics evolution. The hardware is definitely good bang for the buck, but the software will decide if it's worth it.
@vegasgamerdawg
Tell us which games aren't making enough money without MT.
Development has gotten easier compared to last generation. Development tools are better, system architecture is better, porting is far easier, and optimization requires far less time. Not to mention there are better and more affordable game engines to chose from for any studio to more easily begin development. On top of the easier development.. The attach rate to consoles has r...
Because, it's not acceptable just because it's not in the middle of the actual game. They have shown it in the middle of a match several times. It takes a few minutes before the framerate calms down but the graphics comparison is still quite bland and the input lag is terrible.
