It's meant for game jam events, where people are challenged in making all sorts of games, or ones of their choosing, in short time constraints. Two weeks works for this event but I'm not sure who would try using a new development tool last minute. I think most of the challenges are coding from scratch anyways.
@JD_Shadow
I would worry about properly delivering a remake of the game before trying to dish in massive integral changes that would take up way too much development time. Just because people want to save a character doesn't mean it should be. These moments tie everything together. They have to happen or it wouldn't have progressed so well. We need the current story to become even tighter, and more Cloud and Aeris moments.
I would love some form o...
They should fix the games optimization, bugs, and cheater issues. They have way too much money to be so sluggish at addressing these issues.
Not really. As soon as you start leveling you can just focus on getting tanky with one strong weapon for the rest of the game. I've done a playthrough with no deaths and it was not hard at all as long as I didn't screw up till I could level myself. After the first boss, I go to the prison, play it safe, level up, get the fluted armor, now I have tankiness and the bastard sword early on. Of course, it's dependent on if you think that is a fun way for you to play it. I avoid the min...
I want them to have a way to complete the broken gateway in the Nexus that was always rumored as a future DLC update. That would be awesome. Hopefully, they find inspiration to continue Demons' Souls. I think one more game would be more than justified.
Very true. If FreeSync commonly targets around the 60fps marks and these inputs don't support it at 30fps then those games will be out of luck.
But, I imagine they could make some type of work around. Like sending rendered frames twice to duplicate them so the TV will trigger FreeSync even for lower actual framerates. Though, i'm not too knowledgeable about it to know if that would work.
Do research before talking technical terms.
Like Omnislash said.
FreeSync typically lessens input lag which is a HUGE deal for gaming. Even running at a smooth 60fps it would be fine. Frame stuttering and frame dips happen quite frequently on console games right now. FreeSync will be a godsend for these moments. It will feel more responsive and the image won't be as jittery or have screen tear.
NVidia doesn't :\
I'm not upgrading my LG 1080p Ultrawide until I get a true 4K ultrawide with at least 100hz refresh rate, and when a single GPU card can run it maxed out. It's gonna be a looong wait but my set up is pretty good. Just really sucks that FreeSync is on almost every monitor now and G-Sync is so restrictive. I really hope AMD ups their high-end GPU game by a lot. Hopefully a dual GPU card comes out like old times.
Haze, Lair, How To Survive(only listing this one since people used to list it all the time for XBox exclusives to compete with lists of AAA games, so, it was fan hyped on forum sites at least), and Mighty No. 9.
"What lead the fans to believe this?". The "Cloud" talk did. They literally presented physics being "streamed" to the "Cloud" with the server they were using being in the same room as the presentation. The physics also sucked....
I can't wait for the Skyblivion and Skywind mods though. Those will definitely be a time sink.
I think they said they are working on a new engine before the next Elder Scrolls because they want to do things they couldn't do before and the old engine is holding them back.
Okay. This is just getting ridiculous...
The waters graphical quality has absolutely zero to do with the Cloud. The graphical fidelity is great. But, that is nothing to do with the server. I feel like just because the water looks really good graphically that everyone assumes that this means the cloud "rendering water" has to do with it. No, it's just calculating how the ships, players, and various things are placed and react to the predetermined paths of the w...
Thing about Crackdown though. It's graphics were very bland and basic. Other than the bullet holes, the physics of things breaking apart and falling was also very basic. It didn't sell me on the cloud and looked like it was more just the games physics engine. We have games with more advanced physics already out, not exactly on the scale of a city, but I think it's for the games design and not technical limitations.
@obidanshinobi
Because, one example suddenly makes what I said entirely wrong?
Why are you all so big into hyping an unproven game? You're just ruining it for yourselves and others if they get the game and it doesn't turn out the way you think.
Still want to tell me it isn't next to no original developers left?

Rare developers left quickly after its acquisition.
Meaning. It's not the actual Rare group. It's just the legal name left behind after being bought out.
But, I don't want to sacrifice graphic fidelity to achieve the resolution. Sub-4K looks great even on the biggest TV's. If shadows, textures, draw distance, and LOD can be bumped up for a sub-4K resolution then I would rather have that.
Well, unfortunately it's next to no original developers left.
10 pages to click Next to get to.
Not sure how Final Fantasy didn't make it on this list.
Halo 4's boring and uninspired soundtrack with filler and common progressions shouldn't even be on here. Halo 2 was just as good, but with nostalgia behind it, and the debut trailer with Blow Me Away was just perfectly phenomenal.
@timotim
Obviously, no one is talking about the unbeatable. You can't truly "beat" these types of online multiplayer. Try being less" captain obvious" when attempting to argue. Some things don't have to be said to be understood. You miss the point in an arrogant attempt to spew biased talk.
Who's talking about any titles other than the ones mentioned in the article? Oh, just you.
@timotim
Yes. You can actually beat all of those in 14 days.
I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say Artorias from Dark Souls will be a challenger. He'd be a really cool swordsman and a level from DS would work pretty well. Would be a really awesome hidden challenger. Perhaps, by playing on the hardest difficulty.
This is all just wishful thinking of course.
