Always online in order to play the game itself is bad. If it just has optional always online features that add to it when you're connected then we're good. I live on an island atm and the ping is at least 180 at all times in games, and i have 2000's internet speed :|
Can't wait to get real internet when i get back to the states in two years, lol.
You can buy clip on chargers for the DS4's as well. The option is still there.
Not really a worse experience. Just get the rechargeable clip on batteries for a DS4 that accomplishes the same thing, but can refuel the controller and be detached and plugged back in once fully charged. Or, keep it plugged in for extended battery life.
Also, don't buy the official XBox recharge kits. Go on Amazon and get higher capacity and better quality rechargeab...
@shadowraiden
Where is the release date? I don't see any initial release date on the Kickstarter and I've searched elsewhere.
Where is this celebrity party you're talking about? I can't find it on any Google search either. Also, press appearances are normally within the contract. They don't just whip out their checkbook last minute and hand off a million dollars to a celebrity..
Yes, they're going big on Squadron...
@Si-Fly
Sure, if you haven't looked at any info of the game.
This was clear in the Kickstarter that this will be a very long project at a bigger scale than just about anything else. Weekly livestreams and developer demonstrations have shown tons of impressive tech that actually work. They just haven't implemented it into the game yet. It's not that simple to just add everything ASAP. It's not your typical indie game with basic coding and p...
It won't be silly unless it's written silly.
Seeing a character evolve so much, and to understand what's behind his eyes with every lesson he teaches Atreus is something rarely done in anything.
Lets worry after they give us reason to. Sony and studios track records are insane.
Mephistopheles is in Demons Souls, which has been rumored for quite a while to be remade by BluePoint
It felt like a small hint of Uncharted in a gritty old London atmosphere with a sprinkle of Resistance with its weapons. The game itself was very underrated, it was short if you sped through it but it was well done. With how open Sony normally is to franchise potential it really feels like they dropped the ball here. I think they'll pick it back up eventually.
The game would have made a lot of sense if they made an online horde mode. Maybe, the Order will drink a concoc...
If they're going to do a different mp mode, it should be done as a limited time, or seasonal, to gauge interest and find balance before it ruins the games rep even more. Hopefully a super overhauled forge will make more game modes possible and easily tweaked by playera rather than XBox trying to force trends on the fanbase.
What defines "pretty good"? Large budget(excellent sound, CGI, voice acting, etc.) or meaningful details for the entire plot, or a mix of both? Halo 4 and 5 are a great example of trying to Michael Bay there way out of providing a decent story and continuity.
I'd love a new Resistance.
Resistance is also an alternate history storyline. It would totally be exciting to see an alternate history of this games own alternate history.
I really want Insomniac and Guerilla to collaborate on an online oriented game with the inclusion of a co-op/horde multiplayer mode as well.
If you look at each services free games. You will see that GWG also has re-released a couple titles multiple times, and that Plus tends to beat it to the punch with more relevant titles that make their way to Live a month or more after.
Always wanted to see the vast abilities and gameplay mechanics adapted to an open world game. Imagine a skill tree incorporating all of these mechanics in some way to blend it all together how you would like to. I don't know about a MMO. But, I would be interested in a Diablo-esque title if done correctly. I wish we could have a MMO with our custom grown characters and classes to create custom meta in summoner rift fashion.
Lost Arc is a MMO but does feature a lot of d...
Give it a rest already.
@Kavorklestein
MS has the least amount of innovation. They literally only attempt innovation based on new ways to make more income rather than what would be deemed practical, enjoyable, and a no-brainer for XBox consumers to want.
Backwards compatibility is not innovation. It's kinda the opposite, really. It's a feature to play old games. Not new and creative. It's a great feature but it's not why people buy a new product. Sony isn't o...
Sony was never "Destroyed" last gen. The public perception certainly tried to anti-hype the PS3 while praising 360 whenever it could, because the US gaming media were pandering to what they thought was the trend.
It did launch at an expensive $500 - $600. It still included wifi(which cost $100 to add to the 360), free online(saved $50 a year), a hard drive with every model($100), a Bluray player while the cheapest ones were $2,000, and released 16 months after the...
People don't want to bother looking into the game. They just look at the money it costs and what the beta has in it. They don't see all the tech demos and the weekly streams and daily updates that the company provides as proof of concept. They have already said that this is a very long process to deliver what they want to do. They didn't have prior assets and materials to work with. It's not a studio prepared for a 3 or 4 year game, and they are pushing for more detail and int...
@gapecanpie
Clearly, people care because it's the #1 debate at hand, complaint, and gives the console its identity whether it's what you prioritize or not.
Old attempt to derail an issue commonly present with XBox. Just one title can be the tipping point for someone to pick one platform over the other.
XB1X needs to be more than bragging rights. It's not rocket science that the last console iteration will be the most powerf...
I've been thinking the same thing. I would love an open world fantasy game from them. Oblivion is one of my all time favorites.
I also would love Insomniac and GG to collaborate and combine the best things of Resistance and KillZone into one.
@SatanSki
You didn't play Uncharted 4?
PSNow isn't meant for PS4 owners. It's meant for all platforms that can download the app and stream anywhere. It pulls no attention away from new releases and physical hardware owners.
