Did I missed something? The website didn't even post a score? How come this title says 8/10?
"Some games, such as Virtua Fighter, are incredibly complex and require a great deal of knowledge and skill. For example, the Virtua Fighter games use only three buttons as opposed to the standard of 6 buttons by most 2D fighting games, or 4 by SNK standards: One button for guarding, one for punching, and one for kicking. Yet that doesn’t mean that Virtua Fighter is simple. In fact, it’s far from simple, and might be one of the most complex fighting games I’ve ever played. Click here to...
Of course that's not Alucard, all of'em are a bunch of posers.
This is the real Alucard:

@Shnazzyone Not saying you don't have a point. Hell studios are closing left and right, and the game industry is looking to be separated into very small studios and huge studios. Medium size studios are dying off or scaling back, it's either adapt to small hardware or die off.
Trust me I get what you are saying and it is completely understandable why ATLUS is doing it. I don't really blame ATLUS, but this might be the last nail in the coffin for SMT on consoles. T...
ATLUS have released RPGS for the XBOX 360 and PS3. So yeah, logic dictates that it is expected of a numbered entry of a Shin Megami Tensei game to appear on console too. Or is SMT too niche compare to...oh I don't know, let just say Catherine?
You are right the side projects were not expected to be released on consoles, and the 3ds/psp makes sense. But the numbered ones? Absolutely unexpected. I mean it's freaking logic guy.
Not to mention the other J...
Wow...I...I am speechless. The 3DS? Really? A Shin Megami Tensei not on a home console? A main game on a portable? I mean...Atlus...Atlus, men, what the effing hell? Really?
That's is probably one of the most disappointing news I have heard in years. This probably means that the next Persona will go straight to the 3DS too.
Wow...not cool.
No cheers and no buy.
First thing first, the " much more fun and typically have better stories and characters" thing don;t fly with me. Gameplay is god in the video game kingdom, everything else is just bells and whistles. That been said, linear game design is as lazy as they come. On the other hand open game design is the way to go.
This pretty much sums the thing:
“The way shooters seem to have gone is that it’s a very funnelled experience. All the enemies are ready and waitin...
I am pretty sure than unless your taste in games mirror that of ign's, edge's, and others, then you should not be concern about what number it receives.
Waiting for the demo, like you said, its gaming the right way.
It is 2012 people and Deus Ex was released 12 years ago. Linear is NOT a dirty word for First-Person Shooter, it's just lazy.
Fair enough then. You see it as you got the complete experience for $60 then payed an extra $10 for a little more experience and then another $10 for a little more experience and then $10 for...well you see what I am getting at. How I see it is you kept paying for pieces of the game that should have been already included from day one. You keep feeding into the whole DLC bs and keep making excuses as to why it is worth it. If the DLC had come 6, 7, 8 months after, maybe, just maybe you have a ...
Kindom of Amalur is a "day one dlc" and "way too many DLC soon after release" type game. Blame EA, 38 Studio or Big Huge Games, it does not matter, but good riddance.
Karma is a b*tch and the only hope is that eventually, one day, instead of small game studios paying the price, it'll be publishers like EA and Activision that do.
For the time being vote with your wallets and support the games that gives you the complete experience day o...
Now if only Atlus picked up this series...*nudge* *wink*
Funny, because of Heavy Rain I stopped following anything Quantic Dream. Far gone are the days of hoping for the next, better, Omikron. Instead these are the days of shallow gameplay, under cooked ideas, bad acting, horrible voice acting and horrendous stories. I wonder if David Cage is just a failed, or wannabe, movie director? Cus', imho, a good game designer he ain't. Chuck the whole L.A. Noir into that lot too.
Cheers
"...I like feeling that I have skill in the game” said Romero and continued.
How about feeling like acquiring some skill to design a good game?
“I do realise that a lot of the movement in new shooters is directly attributable to the console controller because you can’t play well and fast with them so they had to come up with some design to make it so the player can do something else if they can’t skillfully move quickly. They have to do something differe...
My top 5 are:
Daytona USA - Arcade
Burnout 3 or Revenge - PS2
Carmageddon - Technically a "racing game" ;) - PC
Super Mario Kart - SNES
Racing Aces - Sega Cd
I am still partial to Butcher Bay since it not only was one of the best games last gen, but it also has passed the test of time.
But ultimately one or the other, it doesn't matter. I am just glad both are not a carbon copy of the other and because of that we have two great games.
Cheers
Good for them and for us. More developers should follow their ideas and stop worrying about what is going to sell. A lot of games that sell, and become famous, end up being ideas that nobody wanted to begin with. Even Activision didn't want to do Modern Warfare because they thought nobody would buy it.
By the way Rocksteady Batman is not based on a movie and it is not a fact that it is better than Butcher Bay.
Just saying
Cheers
Got Milk?
:-@ HALLELUJAH BROTHA!
lol :)
No, it isn't obvious from reading the review. And no, the game is not a...*ahem* "text book 8/10".
But hey, if that is your "text book" opinion, more power to ya. Clearly your text book needs to be revised.
