My point exactly. From the sounds of it you didn't seem to be buying many game prior to gamepass, thus no huge backlog. But now that you have an easy way to play and move on, you have even less of a reason to buy new games.
All gamepass is doing is making people even more complacent about the games they are playing without the need to buy it. We already know that most people don't finish most of their games, thus creating huge backlogs. So why would a non hardcore gamers and, indeed, some hardcore gamers, bother buying games that land on gamepass? This is just allowing them to get their fill and then move on to the next one.
