Oddly enough Sega is actually one of the best places for Relic. Since Sega owns The Creative Assembly. Developers of Total War games like Rome, Shogun 2, Empire, etc.

And steam decides to release this thing to the public as is.

Yet companies like Widejeteye have to put Primordia through greenlight before releasing it on steam. Even though they have other games already there and are a reputable company. There are also other great games having to go through the greenligh process as well.

Is this the future of digital downloads? What's cool or hot at the moment, no matter how deceiving or broken it is, gets to be released...

Do you know if this game is coming to PC/Steam or is it an Xbox 360 exclusive?

Never thought I'll ever see a sequel to this hidden gem. The first one was pretty much what L.A. Noir wasn't...a good detective game.

@grifter024 Seems about right. Looks like I am one of the few dissenting voices against this game. Good.

And you are correct, I am not giving Heavy Rain an unbiased and non skewed opinion. You know why? Because that is what an opinion is: biased and skewed. It's an opinion after all.

All these articles want to pretend that Heavy Rain does what other games have not. That is not only ignorant but it undermines the innovations the industry has actually achie...

No,I did not have fun playing it and it was not worth it. It was slow, the QTE gameplay only serves to pull you away from what's going on in the game. There's not much to do aside from the main story line. The game only serves as a reminder of how little control you actually have on the overall game. QTEing my way through traffic or fight sequence ain't exactly being in control is it?

The story is full of insane premises and cheap set ups for what is going on, so...

"Heavy Rain Final Thoughts: A True Work of Art"

As opposed to what? A fake work of art? Games are a work of art, all of them. Now the subject of if they are good or bad, I believe that's subjective.

For me Heavy Rain is but a reminder of the FMV era, just turned up to eleven. My opinion is that if this is looked purely as a game, then it's just a bad design with poor controls, shallow gameplay and it robs the player of true immersion and con...

Sadly Fear Effect was not rendered using Cel-Shading, like Jet Grind Radio was. Hence why it probably wouldn't fit on this list.

It does, however, emulate the style through texture maps though. And it does a good job at it. But it's not the same as the games mention in the list.

And if we want to get technical then I'll bring Aladdin, Out of This World, and Flashback from the sega genesis days as among the first games to truly emulate cel-shading ...

"I feel that when your choices are slightly limited, it becomes more about how creative you can be with your character" Ha, change choices with money and character with games and that's my view on the game industry as a whole.
Trust me, I don't see it as a problem the fact that you favor 2d over 3d fighters. I am actually partial to 2d fighters myself. My Favorite fighting franchises are mostly 2D like The King of Fighters, SF Alpha 3, Samurai Showdown, The Last Blad...

"This isn't a video."
Yes it is.

"The gameplay is 100% interactive."
Sure it is, when it decides to let you off the QTE leash. Then it let you run for like 5 seconds. Lets you use the six axis for a very basic motorcycle section and aparently for controling the ghost thing.

The rest is full FMV QTE action...it's right there in the video.

As for FMV games, most of them sucked. But certainly not all...

"No one cares if you are only going to rent it, no one care if you think it looks like the last game, no one cares if you think HR is only an interactive movie or if you don't like the plot or whatever."

"But like I said that is my opinion."

...and like you said: "No one cares"

What are you talking about? So because I criticize this game all of a sudden I lack emotions? Really? A
Not a big "gamer" person, are you? :/

Seriously what's the point? Why even use graphics unless they need it for special effects?
Just shoot a real movie with real actors. Have scenes that lead to various outcomes all depending on how you did in the QTE? Oh wait! They did that...
And while they are at it, they should just remove the entire walking sections, I mean they screwed that up last time anyways.

And they said FMV games were dead.
Ha!
Don't call it a comeback!

Fair enough, then clearly this site is not really reliable whatsoever. And since it's just a survival action game, then there is really no point in talking about horror.

By the way "I don't give a damn what postdesk.com says the game is." Need a valium there buddy?

5116d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Then what is it? The article state that it is going to be a survival horror game. So if it's not meant to be horror then this is a complete blunder of an article.

I don't know, you tell me.
