Oh, is that why it became so popular? I thought it was because the fans kept the name alive and kept pestering SEGA to bring the titles over until SONY asked the fans which franchises they wanted to bring to the west and Yakuza got one of the most overwhelming support. Then the streamers and word of mouth kept the momentum going until it became "cool" or whatever and stuff...
But yeah, Subscription Services and Turd Based Combat...THAT'S what is credited for Y...
The AAA space is such a creatively bankrupt space. It's actually hilarious. At least the independent scene and some of the AA teams are still doing the good work.
Now, can we please remake Snatcher and Policenauts as Deus Ex-like or at least as those Sherlock Holmes/Sinking City-like games? Thanks in advance Kona!
INSTABUY!!!!
...and stuff or whatever.
The last piece of technology Doom should be ported to needs to be a Flipbook. Then we can call it a career and start all over again with a completely different game...
...mayhaps Doom 2?
Probably the same thing that happened to the Fanny Pack Sidekicks, they all just went digital. They all turned into Cortana, a Smartphone Sidekick App Waifu with big tits for the added realism and stuff or whatever...
It looks just like every other Illumination movie ever made, so it should be a nice time waster for the kids.
Just like both Sonic movies were.
First of all Legacy of Kain is comprised of at least four different type of games. There is Blood Omen, then Soul Reaver 1 & 2, then Blood Omen 2, then Defiance. So your entire point it mute and nonsensical. The series was already a clone of different types of games. Some with more success than others.
Also, implying that the reason Soulbourne games, especially those from From Software, are popular or well regarded is because of their difficulty is just stupid. Seriousl...
I would love for a Bloodborne/Sekiro style gameplay and world. Fast paced, visceral action, with ancient from the beyond gods to take down, in an interconnected gothic world that gives way to a twisted version of itself when you do the whole reality shift thing.
I mean, Bloodborne was the sequel to pretty much all the cool gothic series from the olden days, so this makes perfect sense. Add in that Sekiro goodness and you might finally bring this IP back from the dead.
Sure, we still need to have Young Ring, Toddler Ring, Middle Age Ring, Ancient Ring, Decrepit Ring, 40's is the new 30's Ring, Put a Ring: On It Edition, Lord of the Ri....eh....maybe not that one...
My point is that there are plenty of Rings to come for sure. Can't wait! So EXCITED!!!!
So will Nintendo issue a cease and desist on themselves for providing the software?
...DO IT!!!
Agree. But if they do they should go all in with the emergent gameplay. Do not force the Alien on us, but on the world. And allow us to make mistakes or stumble upon random scenes instead of forcing the AI in certain places where it just breaks the game and show the developers hand. I mean, how many time is the goddamn thing going to circle around the same hallways? Seriously.
Also, weapons on androids, they DO need to work, especially those headshots. Of course the penalt...
lol....no.
While I'm glad people are enjoying it, this looks even cheaper than I thought it would. Thimbleweed Park this is not and it pales in comparison to most of the games Wadjeteye Games have put out or indeed to a lot of the indie adventure games out there like Norco, Tales of the Neon Sea, Kathy Rain, etc.
It's really a shame because this is one of if not the most recognizable adventure games out there and I think one of the few that deserved the Big Person Pixel Art Bu...
Watching a playthrough of Galious right now and I can see how it's a good fit for his studio. In fact, seeing the random headstone across the levels might mean this game was a huge inspiration for the La Mulana series. And given that La Mulana 1 & 2 are pretty great games, I guess it bodes well for all three fans of The Maze of Galious game :)
But seriously, maybe after this the studio can tackle a new Castlevania game from the metroidvania side of the family. I'...
"Where Squadron 42 Is Played!"
...lol...
Good one! 👍
And now she's dead. Coincidence? I think not.

Yeah, for me the patience that was required to go from using M/K and a Digital Table to doing everything with a controller was just brutal and borderland incoherent. I just couldn't do it. Like trying to do a digital painting in MS Paint with a Mouse. It was just too much.
Dreams is clearly a very capable little engine, that sadly is marred by an absurd entry level. I did wanted to mess around with it and try to learn it so I could prototype some stuff, but after like ...
Mad props for modeling and sculpting anything in Dreams. Seriously, fuck the lack of mouse support or tablets for that matter. I can do the modeling part in Blender or Zbrush no problem, and that still becomes a boring and tedious affair after a few, even with far superior tools, so to do this in Dreams with a controller or the move is having godlike patience right there. Seriously, fuck that.
Still, props for this amazing work.
Three mOrE games? Oh...MY...GHAD!!!

Make it a First Person Perspective for those that actually get it and give the option for an over the shoulder camera for those that don't.
