Agreed - this game was going to be readily dismissed by me, but Daft Punk is so full of awesomeness, it's now hard to ignore. And I'm so not wanting to get ANOTHER periph (eye cam, rock band set, GH guitars, Buzz controllers). This could be another game like Shatter where the soundtrack ends up getting me to purchase the game...

Oh, my mistake then, lol. I guess I've never spent under $5 when hitting the store :-\

You know, if you go and checkout without sufficient funds, it will give you the option to just add the amount that you need - even if you're starting from scratch. I keep my balance at zero - if a new item costs 7.99, I add it, buy it, and my credit card's charged 7.99. Easy peasy.

I know they still stand the test of time pretty well, but what if they do something similar with Ico and SOTC, to precede The Last Guardian? I'm not sure how much it really costs them to hire a studio to re-tool already existing art assests and stuff, but it may pay off in the long run if

A: existing fans re-purchase the game, and
B: more owners buy TLG due to finally playing the first two.

Probably one of, like, three hoping for this, but I'd love Lucas Arts to release some new Monkey Island. Escape From Monkey Island was one of the most "new" and "eye opening" experiences for me when I first played it, and I miss both it and the genre. That it's downloadable only on the 360 makes me weep a little bit inside. Just a teensy bit. Sadly with the expense of this gen, it's hard to imagine them paying out for such a niche title, but I'm hoping the progression ...

Love the game - actually bought it after becoming engrossed with the soundtrack. The music's awesome, the visuals stellar, and the change up of the mechanics keep things from getting stale. And figuring out just what you need to do to get past that boss typically isn't too difficult. I have huge issues with the circular stages though, for some reason. No fault of the game or anything - just my own poor playing.

When you finally start getting a feel for pushing/pulling and g...

As Beavis stated, it indeed works that the last item added to the folder is the item displayed as the icon for that folder, when it comes to games. Ii ipersonally seperate mine into eye cam, puzzle, shooter, demos, and other, and there's no real way to change that picture other than moving everything into a different folder, and then moving them BACK, adding the game you want displayed last.

If the cop dies, you just don't gain any further information from his perspective toward the case of finding the killer. In Indigo Prophecy, after you completed a certain chapter with a character, you were given the option of whose perspective to play from next, until you'd gone through everyone's point of view for a certain period of time. Heavy Rain may provide this same "who next" freedom, or they may just snap you to the perspective of whomever they deem next.

I have been waiting for this forever. Not quite the solution of built-in bluetooth that I was hoping for, but it's something, at least. Right now my set-up requires 3 remote controls to switch between devices the easiest. Mmmmm, Harmony ONE, here I come!

As I said above, I never played GTA, so can't give you a scale comparison. The maps themselves are fairly large and give you plenty of options and freedom in regards to how to aproach an objective. If you go too far away from the focus of your mission, the demo restarts you at a check point. The opening mission with the train covers the most distance, as it travels across the city. After that, you reach a point where you're given two different options of where to go for a new mission, and...

I didn't play GTA, so I can't give you an accurate comparison, but the game is fairly impressive looking and fluid in movement. It pretty quickly becomes second nature jumping and manuevering. Watching the NPCss react to you is kind of fun, and texures seem pretty decent. I think character models could be a tad better, but I was thoroughly pleased with everything. And when you start chucking electricity left and right, the amount of chaos and particle effects borders on insanity. And wit...

There must be different demos, because what he's describing is NOT what I just played. First of all, it lasted over an hour, not 5 minutes (granted, there was exploring involved). Secondly, I played 4 different missions - saving hostages from a train, defending a crate containing meds, I believe, defending and cleansing a water tower, and stopping a transport truck. No tutorial at the beginning, and no running with Zeke.

Think these are different demos depending on where you...

Can't think of too many other ways to expand upon that trend besides flOwn and deflOwer, and I'm almost certain it won't be the latter :P

I've learned that whenever you're trying to expand your nation, you do NOT want Ghandi as a neighbor, or even on the map. That little sociopath's always starting wars. And the Germans will try to steamroll the heck out of you.

In all seriousness though, there IS a lot of education in the game, should you choose to use it. The Civpedia is insanely deep, with real life pictures, history, annotations, etc., of every location, artifact, person, skill, trade, and resource in the ...

Seeing as my PS3's hard drive is currently shot, I'd be more than happy to comply. Got a new 500GB on the way though, so blessing in disguise is what I call it!

If you do for some reasone buy a ps2, don't forger Shadow of the Collosus and Okami. And the ever under-appreciated God Hand.

Cool. I already do a similar thing, cataloguing all of my books that I own via librarything.com (same profile name there - feel free to add). It really is cool to browse through and see what similarities and differences you have with your friends, to talk with like minded individuals about points of personal interest (full, thoughtful discussions on Codex Alera series - awesome!), and to see those things you never would have imagined someone having.

That's Team Ico and Quantic Dreams for me. Either dev. could release a game with no reviews or previews and nothing but a featureless black cover and I'd still plunk down the cash out of trust in the quality and direction of their product.

Think of it as getting the game 4 days early, rather than March 3rd.
