haters?
this isn't a matter of hating... it's a matter of sony being cheapskates.
this is a fact and u know it. sony has an amazing product out on the market now (og ps4)
what the blinded cant see is, sony is refusing to lose money on hardware (like Nintendo) so there will be corners cut to save a buck. consumers will lose a feature or never gain one (optical port, 4K drive) so sony can save money.
this isn't son...
a lot of people on this site really don't know how audio/video works do they?
lets forget about videogames for a moment.
the laser on a ps4 isn't capable (even if there were firmware update) of decoding a UHD 4K disc properly.
if sony were to even bother to try and it worked (not worth time nor $$$ for them to do), all u would get still is 1080p playback.
like everyone else on earth I want to see how they are achieving hdr on the og ps4 th...
@SpaceRanger
when they came out is not the point. its adding franchises to the stable.
isnt' sony doing another iteration (patch) of The Last of Us for Neo? that game is 3yrs old (amazing game though) so every time sony does new hardware theres going to be the same TLOU (like Halo, Forza, etc) waiting to show it off.
taking a chance on scalebound... bringin back crackdown...
all double standards @SpaceRanger.
@Aena...
because the 4Pro and Scorpio are NOT the same architecture that are neck and neck.
MS is waiting on AMD next gen SoC (most likely Zen), not Jaguar.
12GB (320gb throughput) RAM, better graphics card that overclocked rx480,
that equates to WAY more than a noticeable difference.
Project Scorpio will be like the Elite Wireless Controller, the difference will be VERY obvious.
@S2Killnit... so Metacritic is your measurement for everything? that's cool
let me know when u finish bragging off of the same 3 games (which are amazing by the way) but always the same 3 games.
I dont hate playstation. but i dont worship it either.
"HDR going to be huge for gaming"
While negating to tell consumers that NO tv manufacturer currenty offers a 1080p HDR set.
Nor does any set prior to 2015 has HDR
Kinda shady u ask me...
always seeing forza, gears, halo is equal to always seeing madden, fifa, nhl, golf...
those "all the time games" foot the bill for new ip and risk...
sony own's so many ip, but all i hear is anything naughty dawg...
every year is mlb.. but it's allowed cause it's a sports game or something?
so i guess sunset OD, Ryse, ori, quantum break, scalebound, cuphead, recore, arent considered taking chance...
like people said that there was no visible difference between 900p and 1080p...
why does one side get a pass and the other doesnt
even if project scorpio doesnt do native 4k there is enough of a power difference (and the software brilliance of microsoft) to make out a huge difference between 4pro and scorpio..
@Kingthrash360...
lets entertain you...
they have learned not to get arrogant like their main competitor once had to learn...
the learned to be more engaging (and a pinch more straight forward with consumers)
fanboy wars pushed the "power perspective" thats all u saw in ps4 and xbox forums and xbox got knocked for this. flamers caused the "power struggle" don't blame ms for this one. it was basically ...
Sony is using the same wizardry that Remedy used (and got flack for) to Quantum Break
sony is doing it on a bigger scale...
OT: now fancy scaling tricks is cool all of a sudden???
$399 saved the PS4 Pro...
you can't beat that price point
Ultra Blu-Rays are still very new... In a year there will be a price drop on 4k blu-rays
@Majin-Vegeta...
They are saying that there is NO 4K Blu-Ray Disc Drive in the PS4 Pro.
Doing some digging now
are you serious...
The PS4 Pro... Okay I guess...
PS4 (slim model) not worth it.
@Genuine-User
Do you know how Audio/Video works? Forget about video games for a moment. For real
There are certain "requirements" for these specs you are clapping about works.
Yes most people will HAVE to spend money for HDR.. Why you ask, most tv sets prior to late 2014, early 2015 DON'T have HDR capability. This is fact.
I'm sure everyone should know that HDR and 4K are not one in the same, but ...
Lets be clear, if your TV does NOT have HDR, you will NOT see any difference at all.
There arent many 1080p sets on the market that have HDR (this is fact)
HDR is mostly seen on 4K sets only
No HDR is not 4K...
People up here clapping that they are getting HDR and their tv's most likely don't even have HDR decoder.
Also, there is a hardware requirement for HDR, and that usually requires HDMI 2.0 and H...
yep...
the games looked better without a doubt...
but there has to be more to it than what was shown...
I see why the price point stayed at $399
That's it?
I'm impressed and not impressed at the same time...
tv tv tv??? lol
why does sony and or microsoft always have to do something that mimics the other...?
which is still referred to as a laser. so there ya go...
CD players are neither mechanical nor magnetic but optical: they use flashing laser lights to record and read back information from the shiny metal discs. One of the main problems with LPs and cassettes was the physical contact between the player and the record or tape being played, which gradually wore out. In a CD player, the only thing that touches the CD is a beam of light: the laser beam bounces harmlessly off t...
