AMD does the physical hardware for the SoC of Xbox and PlayStation.
The difference is the coding on the SoC for Xbox and PlayStation.
MS has a TON of their own deisgn language (software) in conjunction with AMD's software on the SoC.
The way the Xbox One was designed is for future technological advancements.
Hardware similarity is is the only thing Xbox amd Playstation have in common.

they said uncompromised 4K... 4K/30fps (id rather 60 but I digress) steady is still uncompromised.
they also made I very clear after E3, that it was up to the devs.. and there would be NO mandates...

PS3 sales were nowhere near close to Xbox 360 if your only talking USofA sales...
you can even throw in PS2 and PS3 (if we're only talking sales during 360's shelf life) and the 360 still won in the USofA

so checkerboard rendering is fine now? when remedy used it for quantum break n4g went nuts and scolded them for it... now it's fine since sony is using it as stepping stone to 4K?...
i would say people are being a bit hasty with the frame rate if it were may/june... it's now basically october and cod is release is basically around the corner. a stable frame rate should be locked down at this point and anything better is just a bonu...
Price point is the best thing about the PS4Pro... $400 is a good price point for what's being given...
but Digital Foundry also addressed the same concerns that I have...

there are a lot of cpu bound games out there (and still being made) that will bottleneck and choke up in certain games.

it's all "lanes and highways" ... what are lanes/highways made of? how wide are the lanes, and how much data can you pump into them before congestion kicks in...

There are 4K (w/HDR) Blu-Rays
There are HDR games out NOW

not many people have HDR enabled 4K tv's
we come on these forums bragging, but I bet less than half the of the "Usuals" on N4G have a 4K HDR tv.
There are NO 1080p HDR sets in the wild either.

Forza Horizon 3 is around the corner has HDR10
