but MS dropping the One S at a starting point of $300 puts them in a very good position. No they will not catch up on the 15million+ (or however much the lead is) the PS4 has, but I doubt the PS4 Slim is gonna make the gap any bigger.

Picked up 500GB Halo One S from Best Buy today..
Returning the One S towards end of week..
Although its very slight, you can hear the fan kick in at times.. I never heard the fan kick in when i had the Day One console or my current Elite Console...
Also Kinect port not being present (i know adapter is free) irks me a bit..

if MS are goin Zen Chipset (over the current Jaguar chip) all cpu bound games will have NO issue running on Scorpio.
Zen + 320GB memory bandwith+rx480 (all theory of course, is signicantly more different that the current Xone One, PS4 and Neo... new architecture all together

there would be a difference of more than 50% if MS if rumors are true that MS will be using Zen for Scorpio instead of the current Jaguar chipset.
and if MS is actually going 320mbps on the memory bandwith, that's pretty significant as well...

I've played some of Ark without paying a dime...
I don't know how it is on PC...
But on Xbox, early access doesn't mandate payment
I hope these apps that comin to xbox give a unique xbox experience (things that can leverage the consoles abilities)
Netflix app was unique to xbox one when it launched (unique pins, voice commands, etc).. then it got an update to just be the regular app like we see on other devices...

But it will make people say, for $50 I can get some 4K features and the games will scale as well.
Basically the PS4 slim will NOT widen the gap on sales, nor will the One S magically put Xbox on top.
Neo will widen the gap, and when Scorpio comes, it will just offset it again...
