Games will be 1080p throught component, while movies will be 1080i throught component. If your using VGA then it's 1080p for movies and games.
Its a dev kit, microsoft would have used black not grey. All grey xbox 360 have been dev kits, this was the case even before launch. The first pictures we saw of an xbox 360 were this grey and they were dev kits. If it was a retail console the disk tray would have been chrome like the white colour consoles that microsoft currently ships in the premium units.

The reason I find it stupied is because how do they go off charging people for 2 HDMI ports when only a fraction of a percent will actually use it. There is a huge line between pratical and adding things in for the sake of things and charging people for it..

Gaming is Gaming no matter what language you speak. As you see microsoft is diverse and are really community oreinted. They have events everywhere not only USA and Japan. Just 2 weeks ago there was an event in Germany, right now in Toyko and next week in Spain. Sony isn't like this, they only go after the main markets and let the smaller markets fend for themselves.
Well I dont even have a loseless player. The xbox 360 is supposed to provide a cost effective next gen player. If you want all the bells and whistles then you should go with a standalone player. I for one have an HDTV but not HDMI. Even if I did, I don't have a receiver capable of outputting lossless audio (There isn't even a player in the world that can output HD audio). I am sticking with DTS which the xbox 360 outputs over toslink cables which is more than good enough for me to watch HD-DV...
