Ya I agree, a dash update is needed to enable this, because it opens up media center on the xbox 360 and starts searching for media center computers. It's nice though, I really want to press the media center button on my xbox 360 DVD remote (people with the remote will know what I'm talking about) It's a unique clear button that feels somewhat gel like.
Thats 4 red lights, which means the video wires aren't pluged in. Make sense since a photo booth wouldn't plug the xbox 360 to a TV to take a picture.
Online is great. My personal favorite is "Protect Tha Pimp".
Nice pics but these games are meant to be seen in motion. How else will we see the HDR and other shader effects. Come-on release an in-game video or is that being saved for TGS or X06
5 to 10 seconds? This is next gen, the xbox 360 already takes 15 to 20 seconds and since the ps3 drive speed is 55% the speed of the 360 load times appear to be a good 30 to 40 seconds.
It's pretty long, count for yourself.
So when Sony says that Blu-ray is required for next-gen that okay but when microsoft shows facts of disc load times it's BS. Stop being arrogant and let's say both companies are trying to sell the most amount of consoles as possible.
If 2 out of the 3 next gen console makers are sticking with standard DVD and only one is using next gen disc and it also happens to be that that maker is sony and owns a majority of stock in Blu-ray and stand to take profits in the billions if blu-ray...
Because VC-1 is owned by microsoft and therefore the licencing fees would go to microsoft instead of sony for video codecs. But if Blu-ray wants to stand a chance against HD-DVD, sony needs to give up some profits so that they can licence the superior codec.
HD-DVD already uses VC-1 since microsoft is backing HD-DVD.
The xbox 360 accepts also 1080i and 1080p. It just doesn't output 1080p but it does output 1080i. Send a 1080p video file over media center to the xbox 360 and it will play it.
"There are those that said this day would never come, where are they to say it now"
If EA buys Crytek, you can bet this game will be on everthing from the xbox 360/ps3 to the gamecube and even the psp. Trust me even if it meant a draw distance of 1 metre EA would still release it. LOL
Unexpected, I thought it would have been the cell.
Just sell the ps3s off the back of a truck, just watch out for the cops. LOL
Is Lair that game that takes place in the desert or something.
I mean no offence to sony. Just says that Sony should take better care of their third party developers if they want to keep them happy. Thats all. Hey, I own both xbox and playstation products. I don't want either to flop. It's keeps the other company on their toes.
Is it a Eye Toy 2?
The HD-DVD drive looks small in the picture. I hope thats how the retail version is.
Gametime, I don't see anything wrong with what he wrote. An Analyst wrote this, it's not like he made the thing up. Think about it, if sony loses atleast $200 per console and mulitply that by 6 million consoles sold be march 2006 then thats a $1.2 billion dollar hole (in 1 quarter)for sony just to make the systems. This does not include assembly, wages to workers, advertising and others cost to get the system to retailers.
I fully see sony scaling back the ps3 productions until...
Lost Planet is as exclusive to xbox 360 as halo to microsoft. Trust me Lost planet and it's sequel will only be on the xbox 360, same goes for dead rising. This is how exclusives with microsoft works, microsoft funds the game (Gears of War). If the game is a success then that title is immediatly locked to xbox and can't be ported to another console without microsoft's permission. If the game flops then it can be ported to other consoles and it's a smaller hit to the developers since microsoft...
LOL
Screens are great for a screenshot. You can't see any post processing effects like HDR , motion blur and other shaders since it is a screenshot and those can only be seen properly in motion. So I hope they release an in-game video clip.
