It's a Blu Ray player - no REMOTE.
It has free online - no HEADSET.
It starts the HD era - no HDMI/component cables.
BUT...you get a 60GB drive because they know how much media you already have on your PC which you can't stream to PS3.

These guys must have a lot of money invested in Sony, personally.
Digital downloads plus hardware such as 360, Media Center PCs, iTV, video iPODs, Gigabeat and Zune-where you can buy/download movies and watch them thru your HDTV set or take them on the go with you.
Blu Ray was dead before it was born and HD-DVD is just a temp solution until Digital Downloads is fully locked and loaded.
Wasn't Sony and ESPECIALLY the fanboys, saying how the Blu Ray is NEEDED? Now capacity doesn't matter with downloads and an hdd. That $500-600 system is now worth $50-60.
Sony still has to keep relations with retailers somehow because they have to sell hardware which can't be d/l.
It's pretty obvious when Sony ships PS3 Kiosks to stores with a built-in industrial stregnth fan attached.

Ummm...MS UPDATES the Live service and usually ADDS or refines services every 3 months. They don't FIX things every 3 months like you would suggest.
They don't waste time to FIX the service IF their update proves faulty either.

With 360, I have the OPTION to d/l HD movies, stream them from my PC or purchase the HD-DVD add-on (which IS NOT required to watch HD movies).
So IF I don't yet have a 360...AND I chose to buy the Prem + HD-DVD, that's what $599 + tax already.
Now IF I chose to buy the PS3 60Gb, that's $599 + $50 cable more if I chose to go HDMI for 1080p, then I have to wait for the Sony to start selling the remote for the player (my guess-timate is $40), and I still have to buy at le...

it's not even out in Europe yet! And btw, Sony probably figures if they can sucker you for a $500-600 system now, then by 2010, they can sell you a PS4 for $600 low end and $800 for the high-end.
