I can still play Unreal Championship-from Oct 2002-on XBL (or any 1st gen XBL title). I guess those are the little known benefits of a unified online service.

As I recall; Xbox Live in it's infancy was way better and had no problems, except for those few who found ways to cheat in a game.
I beta-tested for xbox (played for free before the service was offered to the public). Voice and messaging services were working perfectly. That was XBL, "in it's infancy."
XBL on 360, offering HD movie/tv and game downloads is ALSO "in it's infancy". So stop finding lame excuses for a lame online service!
So I can go play that game and pull my mic out and pretend that I'm playing a more expensive console!
And for weeks to come!
They're basically saying that ONE DAY...PS3 will upscale SOME (selective) PS2/PS1 games but never going to do full 1080p.

Just what Sony needs to do to itself! Now it seems less likely Sony will 'enable' PS3 to stream media content from the PS Network to the PS3.

They've been bashing the Xbox since November 15th, 2001. They bashed the 360 before it came out...well before the PS3 was in production.

Because probably at his level, he's legally unable to work for MS or Nintendo's game divisons for a number of years, leaving him no other choice but to find work outside this industry.

Yea, that was a great game. I had it for Genesis but I never got the Sega CD (couldn't afford it then). I beat the game with every character but Xavier and Midnite were my favs!
My avatar is Blade (the futuristic dude) and for the youngsters; yes this Blade was waaayyy before the movie/comic book.

Call me what you like. Just like I call it when I see it. PS3 doesn't have nothing to offer-it's a weaker system with lesser functionality than 360.
Wanna know my history? I went from Atari 2600, to Sega Genesis, to Sega 32x (for Genesis), to Playstation (1), to Xbox (1), to 360. And all the while I've been PC gaming from the days of the Wizardry series on an Apple IIGS to the Unreal Tournament series on my Windows PC.
The systems in between weren't 'floating...
I remember when MS announced their online plans and Sony soon followed, stating that MS's plan wouldn't work cause broadband wasn't in all areas and nobody wanted to pay. They also argued that the game devs would prefer their open-ended style more cause they could put up their own servers.
6 million strong and Sony STILL hasn't learned.
