I've seen the orange box just being ignored because it's just too complicated. Should it be split up or kept together? Should it count if half life is such an old game? Portal was great, but was it long enough?
Personally I just think the orange box should just be recognised as one of the best games of the year and awarded as such.
Not really. WOW is successful because anyone can play it, because we all have PCs that can run it. If people had to buy a console to play it, you wouldn't see the vast army of casual gamers and even non-gamers buying the game.
It's the ease of use, the multiplayer (not online!), the controls (which work better for almost everything but fps), the range of games and the fact that you can play on your tv.
The price isn't such an issue when you can get a pc that will run even crysis (not on high) for under £400, and the games are all cheaper. Although I suppose not everyone is aware of that.
The difference is that Halo isn't anywhere near as repetitive.
Well Devil May Cry is probably the only hack and slash that hasn't tried to add variety. God of War has the incredible cinematic feel, great puzzles and brilliant boss fights (which require involve tactics, not just skill), Heavenly Sword came out with the ability to throw objects. Sure most people hated it, but I enjoyed it somewhat, and at least it was trying to add some bloomin' variety.
It's not enough to add more combos or weapons. It never will be. If I want a deep fighting...

The multiplayer is the selling point to me. Not just 4 player co-op but also offline multiplayer with bots, which makes it my first next gen replacement for timesplitters.

Hate to burst your bubble but loads of people were suggesting it. They are the best PS3 exclusives available by a long way.

Well they are writing in the chapters between episodes 3 and 4, and George Lucas is closely involved, so expect the story to be pretty damn good.

You've only seen a few minutes of video, and all of it was mindblowing. They've been very secretive about information. How can you ask "what does it have"? Please explain why it's a bad thing for it to have spectacular graphics.
