The top one is absolutely horrible, and the bottom one is pretty plain.
Words of wisdom indeed. Also, the 'evidence' they seem to have collected is quite at odds to other studies which have shown that games can improve aspects of the mind, such as spacial awareness.
These people think that when we're gaming, some sort of animal instinct kicks in, and the fact that we go blank and silent must mean that we are dropping down to some level of diminished intelligence. It couldn't possibly mean that we're just concentrating and thinking carefully about what ...
Well latest I heard was that Crytek are developing their next game (NOT porting Crysis) on the PS3 with brand new "secret" technology. I'm not sure whether or not that will also be on 360. Expect it to look f*cking amazing considering that Crytek are one of the forerunners of gaming tech.
And by the way, PC gamers ARE on average more nerdy than console gamers, mainly because PC gaming require far more tech knowledge, especially in upgrading, than console gaming. OF co...
Yes UBISOFT MONTREAL are porting Farcry 2 over to the 360 and PS3.
No chance. The install base isn't big enough. You think that half of the people who own PS3s will get this? Even the little kids who just wanted ratchet and clank and the online freaks who don't want to play a lengthy singleplayer game? Even the people who only got a PS3 to play bluray movies? Then bear in mind the other top class games coming out in 2008 and the fact that most gamers only get a couple of games a YEAR. Selling a million will be the landmark for this game.
Well that's why sensible people like to look at many reviews, or one from a source they really trust. That way they get a good spread of opinions or one that they know is similar to their own. No one takes it as gospel, just a helpful way to see where their money and time might best be spent. If reviews were worthless, why would they be so popular and successful?
Well Red let's just only listen to OPM who are the supreme masters of PS3 game reviewing and rightfully gave Burnout its 9.
BTW They gave UT3 a 7, GT5P an 8, Time Crisis a 6, The Club a 7, Soldier of Fortune a 4, Everyday Shooter a 7, Toy Home a 7, NBA 08 a 5 but they haven't got their hands on Devil May Cry or Turok yet.
Where would you plug in the aerial?
You will get barely any money for it. Why don't you just hold onto it so you can play it in a couple of years for nostalgia's sake?
Uurgh I could never play socom. Everyone around me seemed to have perfected their skills to superhuman levels. I'm great at all other shooters (usually score in top 3 in most online games) but I got my arse handed to me every time in socom so I gave up on it.
This will be great! Although I'll probably have to upgrade my hard drive.
This is nothing like viva pinata. That was a kid's game designed to make the xbox seem more family friendly.
Well if anything this is a level editor with a side scrolling 2D game tacked on (technically its 3D though, seeing as you can move in and out). Have you not seen the stuff people have come up with like tanks and pirate ships? The possibilities are limited only by your imagination!! Few other games can claim that! This game will have new levels to play every day, and considering the vast army of people creating them, we'll see some incredibly imaginative levels indeed. Littlebigplanet will do ...
This will surely be one of the greatest years on gaming history.

I know! It's probably my least favorite map too, because there's so much less teamwork.
I haven't played UT3, but I can tell you I've enjoyed TF2 about as much as COD4. If you want heavily team-based games in which you really have to work together, TF2 is better. If you want to be a bit more individual, go for COD4. One thing that might tip the balance for you is that I've found TF2 MUCH more susceptible to lag.
It must have something to do with how well they treat their staff. They keep placing in the US' top 10 best small companies to work for.
I know! 3 top class games in 3 years is a feat achieved by very few developers. They're not even owned by sony!
I think I'm looking forward to this more than MGS4.
Looks very limited. The wiimote can do this and more.
