It's not really better. The failure rate will get worse and worse as time wears on and more consoles break down. Believe it or not but every single one of them is faulty because it is a faulty design. It's practically impossible to claim a percentage failure rate on a product that has only been available for about half a year (I'm not quite sure how long the falcon chipset has been available). Just because only 10% have failed this far doesn't mean that only 10% will break. You really have to...
Aaaah, brilliant! I was wondering if you were ever going to start reviewing games yourself. You play enough of them to really know what you're talking about, which is more than can be said for a lot of professional reviewers....
I look forward to more of these blogs, but you've surprised me with your estimate for Burnout Paradise. I would have expected 9-10/10 from you!
And can I possibly and humbly suggest that you don't use a scoring system, rather a recommendation sys...
Isn't that why it's amusing? ;)
Surely recommended should be higher than recommended for fans only?
And I agree with you by the way.
Are you going to be like this when Fallout 3 and littlebigplanet come out and get great reviews across the board? You've commented on every Burnout Review so far!
Lol there's no problem at all with the PS3 Orange Box. I've never encountered framerate issues while playing any of it. Though I haven't got to Episode 2 yet where the issues are supposed to be worse.
My god are they wrong about Left 4 Dead, and I don't see how Spore can possibly be as good as littlebigplanet.
COD5 will suck. It's being developed by Treyarch (who did COD3) and is set back in WWII.
I mildly enjoyed the demo despite the graphics being of PS2 quality. If it had any depth to it and only cost £5-10 then I might be interested just for an arcade game to play with friends.
Actually, screw it, I'd only take it if it were free.
Well what I think they should do is use one TV to show both consoles, and maximise both consoles for that TV. That would actually show which console can provide a better picture.
The gameplay was fun for a while but ended up being repetitive and limited.
UT3 is the only FPS with M+K support. And you don't need wireless, just usb.
There was a problem with Heavenly Sword - I found myself trying to get through the levels as quickly as I could so I could get to a cutscene. Yes, it's partly because loads of the cutscenes are hilarious, but also because the gameplay is a bit naff.
Well flying a jet alone doesn't fit in too well with the squad based play.... However they've already said you can fly, and if the levels are as massive as they claim (as big as warhawk maybe?) then planes, and even plane squadrons could fit in very well. Imagine if your squad alone spawned in an unreachable air craft hangar and your mission was to take down a goliath....
Oh god. Another classic for them to butcher. There is no sacred ground in Hollywood.
I haven't played a Dynasty Warriors game since the original on the PS1. Have I missed much?
The fact stands that there are loads of spoilt little kids out there with PS3s who aren't going to buy MGS4. Do you have any counter-argument to any of the other categories?
Metal Gear Solid isn't Halo. Hardcore gamers hold it in deep reverence but you ask a guy on the street and chances are he doesn't know what you're talking about. It's just not the kind of game that appeals to casual gamers at all, and believe it or not, but casual gamers make up a very large chunk of the ...
No. It can detect movements towards and away from it, ie on the third, or z axis. The eyetoy could only sense the x and y axes.
Well the thing is there isn't a lot you can do with your whole body minus the legs that you can't do with a wiimote. And what activities besides boxing would be BETTER played without something in your hand? Most games will have you holding a tool of some sort such as a gun. That would make the wiimote feel much more realistic and accurate. Then factor in the nunchuck which lets you actually move around and the buttons which let you do things such as fire a gun.
The crucial diff...
How is this news? Wasn't it announced like a year ago?
