Kojima said cutscenes are real time so there won't be need to store them as avi. files on disk like FF13, LA Noire or MP3. But, that means there will be loading.
Yes, thats because they stored same assets several time so laser doesn't have to search for them (less loading if any can be achieved). Same thing every Sony developer does these days...
Generally, only games with stored avi. files are on more DVDs (LA Noire, FF13 and MP3 for example).
DVD will only butcher this game if they pre record cutscenes and store them as avi. If they do it real time (like every other 360 game) than they'll be fine.
Thats because all of these games (LOU, AC3, GOW, MGR) show the same stuff they showed at E3, and BO2 is new.
I really don't know how much will I have to repeat it, but these are console shots. They are native 720p with FXAA. Look at GTAIV pre release screens and compare them to the retail console versions. They look the same. Do the same for RDR and MP3 and you will see that R* doesn't put bullshots. Why would they put screens with aliasing and 720p for marketing if they aren't marketing it for consoles? Think about it.
Maybe GameInformer exclusive. It comes out in two weeks...
I can't point you but I can tell you that these screens (and trailer) are rendered at native 720p with some kind of post processing AA(probably FXAA). Like all R* screenshots this gen, these are definitely from console, probably 360 like RDR and MP3 ones.
Since RAGE is deferred shading engine (like KZs, Cryengine 3, BF3) dropping 2xMSAA on console probably gave them 10-15% of performance back, and halved their g buffer memory so thats where the good gfx come from. Plus...
These are console shots people how many time that has to be said -.-'
Good God R* what are you doing to us?? There are 3 more blank spaces for maybe 3 new shots on friday. Man, this looks awesome!
He took 1080p upscaled feeds. Should have set his capture card to 720p. Less blurry.
More like quadrupole or more...
Its actually very good interview. And of course, consoles are pretty much done now. Its been 7 years...
Just want to say that R* NEVER releases bullshots. They released direct feed screens with GTA IV, RDR, MP3 and now with GTAV. You can clearly see aliasing, and B3D has confirmed they are native 720p and FXAA. Those are console shots, definitely.
Yap, and they are from console build. B3D confirmed 720p FXAA.
I would like to see direct feed screenshot comparison. H3 had good as HDR lighting, two frame buffers, but it was 600p, very blurry and no AA.
Last year dev kits according to developer on GAF.
Yea because ME3 and Max Payne 3 are surely not AAA games. Seriously, industry is falling apart. Devs know it, we know it and MS and Sony sure as hell know it. Consoles are not selling anymore since everybody has them already. Its been 7 years, and there is simply no demand for them anymore. Plain and simple. Next gen is close and everyone is pushing for it to come sooner.
It was running on of shelf GPU (probably GTX 680) and their programmers edited everything on fly meaning it was completely real time.
BTW one developer on GAF (mods approved and confirmed he is legit) who also told Wii U specs said that difference between Durango( I assume Orbis too) and Wii U is huge in almost every way possible, and that difference is bigger than DC to Xbox. If you don't believe me, PM me and I'll give you links.
Yea yea, I'm sure it does...Just look at that Square Enix newest tech demo. You will NOT mistake that for something this generation delivered (except for CGi).
GTAV could end up highest selling game of all time since GTAIV sold more than 22 mil to date. MGS, since its now multiplat could reach ~12 mil unit. Both will be amazing and generation defining. Each in their gender...
GTAV is most likely the most anticipated game of all time though. Entire internet goes ecstatic. Just one screenshot and sites are going down under the load, N4G has entire first page of "V news". Just imagine what will happen when they drop 2nd tr...
