I usually don't agree with games being "gimped by consoles" as I believe most devs try to make the pc version really stand out. A game like crysis 2 looks a FULL GENERATION beyond the ps3 and 360 versions without a doubt,....
... but iD kinda dropped the ball here......the game looks great on my pc and runs at a perfect 60 frames maxed with 16x AA @ 1080p and certainly DESTROYS the console versions horrid sub-hd jaggieness, but the game could have been so much more...
Honestly if this game was a ps2 only game I would pay $60 for it!
It will be epic no matter which platform you play it on!
That said, the pc version will by far be the coolest because of the MODS! The better graphics, higher res textures, better framerate, yada, yada, yada, are all sweet but the mods will add YEARS onto this game.
You guys that are on the fence of jumping into pc, build a mid-spec pc and enjoy some of the craziness of the mod...

I know that will not happen , I think for sure two new consoles will be out in 2012, if we get REALLY lucky all 3 will have dropped by holiday 2012!

It's also missing about 75% of the foliage!
how can you people NOT want a new console AS SOON as possible?
The current consoles are limping on crutches, they can barely play games in 720p at 25 frames per second with ZERO anti aliasing.
I am beyond ready, I wanna play some halo, uncharted, gears, ratchet ect in perfect 1080p at 60 frames with 8x anti aliasing.
I want my console games to look as good as my pc games!
Now, I am playing dark souls right now, it is an EPIC ...
its about on par with the pc version on low-medium at 1024x600
which would run on a 2 year old budget laptop!
The pc version of crysis 1 in dx10 at 1920x1080p still visually crushes every single game on console wholeheartedly!

It runs PERFECT for me and everyone I know, why.....we all have nvidia, I know not one single person with an ati card, everytime a friend has ever MENTIONED buying ati we talk them out of it,
"DUDE, their drivvvers SUCK!!" Is usually the advice we give.

i have not seen the ps3 version but have watched a close friend play the 360 version and the jaggies were downright AWFUL, the texture pop-in was kinda bad and the framerate droped nearly every time he turned fast.
also, there seemed to be hestation and framedrops every time he entered a new area.
But by far the worst aspect was the jaggies!
cannot wait for new consoles, I have strong feeling that a new xbox console will be out 2012 holiday....I sure hope it will.

Hopefully we start to hear about more titles, cannot wait to see some screens, if next-gen consoles can get to this level or better @1080p with at least 4-8x anti aliasing I'll be happy;

uncharted 3 beta look like mookie stank, ran like crap, gear 3 is more of the same and gets sooo boring so fast.
BF3 (on pc at least) makes both of thoise games look 5 years old and run perfect and is highly engaging and dynamic every time.
Uncharted 3's multiplayer is medocre at best, it's right up there with kane and lynch multiplayer, or something like bioshock 2 multi....
....basically tacked on, the unlocks are useless cosmetic driv...
looks and run perfect on my rig and everyone I know who bought it, and it looks easily 4x better than the console version that is COVERED in jaggies and has terrible texture laoding and framedrops!
force V-sync in the nvidia control panel under global settings and it will lock the framerate to your monitors refresh rate!
I'd buy it again, if nothing else just to have true 1080p and 60 frames instead of the sub-hd and 15-20 frames this game is running for me at on ps3......I love this game, it is epic, and crazy hard.... but it runs like utter GARBAGE!
I heard the 360 version is even worse!

Everyone I know with a pc is loving rage in true 1920x1080p at 16x anti aliasing! It loooks at least 1 if not 2 genrations ahead of the console version!
Everyone I know with a console is playing the inferior, sub-hd, jaggie covered, pop-in riddled port and it is NOT 60 frames all the time on console like it is on an nvidia equiped pc! Not to mention the graphical assests are SEVERELY gimped on consol...

Just drove over to my wifes brothers house as he was talking shit about how good it looked on 360, I laughed my ass off, the pc version of this game DESTROYS the 360 version!
His 360 version had so many jaggies everywhere, texture pop-in and screen tears!
Mine has absolutely ZERO of any of those defects. His looked like ...
My thoughts are with his family and loved ones!
