12 v 12 on small maps covered in jaggies and pop-in with torn frames everywhere is not something I would be bragging about.
honestly, you may as well play bfbc2 on your ps3, it will be almost the same game!
this game will be epic, these tools are complaining about the gfx, maybe they do not know how to adjust graphic settings on a pc...lol.....here is some footage of the barbarian with the beta graphics maxed, also, the game will look and perform even better upon release, this is blizzard, they do not stop until they have attained near digital perfection!

Not that this is me saying this info is incorrect, it very well may be, if a bit inflated, but, I know about 15-18 pc gamers whom I game with regularly, real people I know and interact with in the real world as well (shocking, I know!)
and not a single one of them is upgrading for this game!
The lowest end pc I can even think of, a buddy has an i-7 920 and a 560 to with 4gb ram and he will be able to play this game with everything but Ambient occlusion and anti aliasi...
there are no civilians for lots of reasons, but one is, on console, the games already run sub hd, under 30 frames per second and have screen tear and pop-in and jaggies, do you really want more problems/lower resolutions in your games because of the resourses the ai of some stupid civilians would use??
Didn't think so, the games devs are making are choking consoles as it is, look at bf3, on pc huge maps, 32 v 32 mayhem with insane 1080p with 16x anti aliasing at 60 frames ...
is it a 32 v 32 map on pc?
I know I would have liked Caspian map with jets and larger scale to get a feel for it on pc
I will also be downloading the beta for my 360 AND ps3 to check out how far dice has come with the console too.....

There will be more than enough, this thing is not going to sell fast right away, the first few months.
I think it will sell very well after 8-10 months, but they are launching at a bad time and the hype machine is not running enough, after people start buying it and more and more games are out is will snowball and it will sell like CRAZY!

I know people above are saying pc is 5 gens ahead and while technically it may be true, i would say PC gaming is 2 gens beyond console
when ps3/360 were out in 2005/2006 the were on par with a mid-high pc
by 2007 crysis was out and consoles were left in the dust!
Then dx11 launched and pc&...
no console will even play bf3 in hd, you know it is sub hd on console and will be covered in jaggies and only have 12 v 12 players right
A $400 pc will play it at way higher resolution than the consoles at higher framerates and still be able to have epic 32 v 32 battles
face it, console version of bf3 is less than HALF the pc game.

I save over $600 a year by buying all my games on pc and renting exclusives.
I buy over 40 games a year and save at a MINIMUM average $15 a game. To be honest it is most likely MUCH more than that when you factoring steam sales like Darksiders for $5,
Burnout Paradise for $5 ect. I have over 160 STEAM games alone! And probably over 300 boxed pc games. Maybe 3 ps3 games and 5 xbox games and about 25 ps2 classics!
PC is by far CHEAPER if you buy as many...
Next gen consoles may get it, why bother with this gen, it'll be over in 1 year most likely and there is ZERO way Blizzard will have a console port made in 1 year even if they sub it out to some other developer like they always have done with console ports.

I played the first one on 360 and ps3 (when i went to rent a blockbuster they only had 360 left) when I got home and fired up the 360 I could not believe how low res it looked compared to what i had seen in the store running on ps3....stopped playing, waited a day or two for the ps3 version...
...and without a doubt the 360 version vs the ps3 version was the BIGGEST disparity betwee...
Halo 4 will be for Nextbox dude, they never promised it would be 360 only, just because game sites have it listed as such.
it could launch on both think about it.
Buy Halo 4 on 360 in 1024x600 at 20-30 frames with all those lovely jaggies
or buy halo 4 on Nextbox in 1920x1080p at 60 frames with zero jaggies, same gameplay, same content, play on the same servers, one just looks way better!

Played both
Gears 3 is far and away a better game, looks better, runs better, multiplayer is loads better.
That said, I still enjoyed R3, but already took it back to blockbuster, gears may stay in my dusty 360 for some time to come (i give it about 2 weeks tops, gamepass rocks!)
But in 2 weeks I will have /Dark souls on whatever platfor reviews/looks/runs better and Rage on PC, so by then, gears I will be done with I imagine.

Homefront on pc was visually beyond anything on console for sure, now add crytek into the mix and that will be a very sexy pc and next gen game, it will not be coming to any current gen consoles I hope. Hopefully they are a thing of the past when this thing launches holiday 2012 or a few months later!
The console version of Homefront I saw at a friends house (ps3 version I think) did not even look like the same game i was playing on pc.

cause i have a 4 year old pc that pumps out twice the graphical fidelity of my ps3 and 360, granted its sitting in a closet and i use the pc that is 8-10x more powerful that my ps3-360
so, i really cannot comprehend the stupidity of this article, is he saying the vita will be 5x more powerful than ps3?
that ugly green 360 crap at the top just ruins the aesthetic appeal!

I have gears 3 and am loving the multiplayer and played about an hour of co-op with my brother, but dude, it looks 6 years old to anyone with a gaming pc, the whole time I am playing it I am think how much better it would look in real 1080p, with 8x anti aliasing running at 60 frames.
Granted gears 3 does shit on resistance and killzone 2 and 3 for sure, it looks great for a console game, heck, it may even beat uncharted 2, but any run of the mill 4 year old pc game like call...
