I'm not obese, but I would use it. Then again, I AM rather lazy. Haha. But come on, it's about convenience. You've never heard anyone say "Selling food at gas stations is for fat people. It's not that hard to go to the grocery store after you get gas".
Convenience is one of the reasons why technology continues to innovate. We'd still have room-sized computers if people didn't worry about convenience.
Umm, I would use this with my PS3 - if it worked. I'm not sure what Blu-ray has to do with anything. Different games are different games. Would it come in handy with FFXIII? Sure. But that's not it's only use. Imagine putting Killzone 2, MAG, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, and GT5 in the thing and being able to switch between them without leaving your couch. It's a good idea - IF it works and doesn't cause problems with the hardware (and you don't have to mod).
If it's achieved, it w...
I wish more developers would get carried away. The story is part of the entertainment. Is it complicated? Yes, but it's completely unpredictable. And regardless of medium, you can't say that about many stories. I'd rather have a story I'm actually interested in instead of whatever the hell Gears of War was about.
The MGS games are some of the most memorable for me BECAUSE of the convoluted story. I can't even count the number of times my mind's been blown because of all the twist...
It froze once and you're throwing in the towel? You do know Uncharted occasionally froze before the update don't you? Actually Uncharted auto-saves after pretty much every wave of enemies, so it really shouldn't be too much trouble to play a part again. Are you playing on Crushing? I could understand your frustrations there. Don't give up though, it's a great game and you can do it!
Weapons balancing anyone? It doesn't really matter if you cheat or not, when the semi-auto weapons fire too fast, they create a severe advantage and you end up with gameplay that is unbalanced. IW released a patch intending to balance things a bit.
Personally, I like using the weaker weapons. One, because I want to get all the challenges (which many of you have probably already done). Two, because it's a challenge.
If you're angry, maybe you should aim a bit more car...
I understand what you're saying, but they're a lot closer than you realize. And that train level you're touting, is actually less impressive than Uncharted 2's train level. And I'll tell you why. Outside the train, Killzone 2 applies a strong blur filter over low res textures, so basically all that needs to be rendered is what's on the train itself. The wind is a nice touch though.
In Uncharted 2, there's an actual environment flying by. With plants, trees, and ground. I read so...
I prefer the cover in Uncharted, personally. But this maybe because the Locust can take an uncanny amount of ammunition. I swear their skin is made of Kevlar or something. Haha. Uncharted's cover feels more natural to me. Both are good games, I just prefer Uncharted.
No buy? =(. Oh well, I guess I'm pre-ordering the regular version after all.
I wish I could say I had the strength to close the window. I can't. I watched the whole thing. I am proud to say that I was able to restrain from watching it again though. =)
@frnkyl
Actually, in that situation, just blind-fire. I do it on Crushing all the time. It always works. Actually, in some cases I lure the enemies close just so I can do that. Try it out. =)
Did you see the E3 presentation? When he was in FPS mode, he moved from side to side and the perspective changed. You don't honestly think you have to stand in one spot to use this, do you?
Pancakes > Waffles.
I think the term refers to people rushing to "get them while they're hot". I'm not quite sure though, it's just a theory.
I think this makes things too crowded at the top. You have the PS3 logo, the Network logo, the Only on Playstation logo, and the PlayStation 3 logo on the the actual plastic. The sidebar broke things up.
I'm also not too happy about half my games looking different. Espescially, Uncharted 1 and 2 having a different boxart style. But it's not that big of a deal, just irksome.
Why do people expect Rockstar to create a new engine for Agent? I expect they'll use an improved version of the GTAIV Engine and work on the story instead.
Good quote by the way.
Darkfocus may be onto something. I won't test it (I don't want to freeze my PS3 on purpose), but you could try setting the theme to Classic instead of "Original" (No sparkles). That's what my theme is set to, and I'm pretty sure that's what it was set to when I played it yesterday.
Try it out.
I played Uncharted with zero freezing whatsoever. Not saying this isn't true, but the PS3 freezes sometimes. Now if it freezes every time you get to a certain part, that's an issue.
I played through the two chapters after "Sanctuary?" on Crushing, fyi. Don't know where yours froze.
Motorstorm 80 Gb BC model, by the way.
"Awesome that he got through to a live person."
Yeah, it's so much better than all those dead people they make me talk to. ;-)
I'm pretty sure George Lucas owns 100% of Star Wars. So no.
"Agreed 100% with #1,2 and 3. "
Really? Do you? YOU FREAKIN WROTE IT!
Personally, I disagree with most of this, with the exceptions of God of War 3, and Gran Turismo. I'm still iffy about Modern Warfare 2 and Forza 3. And I'm hoping one of my friends gets Beatles Rock Band, but I'm not getting it for myself.
I would have rather seen Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, SC: Conviction, Uncharted 2, MAG, Mass Effect 2, The Last Guardian, etc. make this list.
The title of this article (not the N4G post) should be "Top 5 reasons the PSP Go COULD Fail".
@Cwalat
"+ Longer battery hours "
This is false. The Euro PS Blog has said that the battery life is about the same. Which means it's probably shorter than the 3000 when using digital only content.
Also, to those complaining about the high price point, wait for the price drop.
I know I'm getting one, but I'll wait for...
I think you completely misunderstood me. I pointed out a perfectly valid way of using this that has nothing to do with console preference. I understand it's gaming purposes. Unfortunately, those above don't. Rather, they just see it as something handy for 360 users since they have to deal with multiple disks (while in reality, they have the option of installing to the harddrive, so this device is better suited for PS3 owners).
I'm also well aware of what N4G stands for, thanks. A...
