Really? He was a baby before. At least he's a bad@ss emo. Him taking down the Gecko and fighting Vamp is one of the best cutscenes in the game.

I love how the Halo books have overtaken the games and Bungie as being canon. In most other cases, spin-off books are usually never considered canon unless they're the original source.

It's Bungie's characters, universe, game... they can do whatever they want with it. I believe they've been quoted saying that people who have read the books will be disappointed because they are going to change things to make this game have a better story.

Anyway, I would have been dis...

Sadly, this is utter BS. The quote is from Mar. 23, 2009. Not only that, he was referring to Home voice chat, not X game voice chat.

Proof (Comment 15):

Move along.

Actually it's just ancient news, not an April Fools joke. Google search the actual quote and you'll find it's from the PS Blog on Mar 23, 2009.

I don't think news gets any older than that.

"Is this really a hot title on the 360? I have seen more hype for Alan Wake and Reach."

It's my most anticipated 360 title of the year so far. I have little to no interest in either Alan Wake or Reach. I might change my mind on Alan Wake, depending on reviews, but SCC is still the best 360 game in the lineup IMO.

It would be awesome if they went back to the old bodytype for Sonic, but I suppose that's asking for too much.

Still excited and still buying at least the first episode.

I think it would be better if Kratos was the reason Atlantis is underwater in the first place. That just seems more epic to me.

PS. I've beaten Poseidon numerous times (love that opening) and I never heard any mention of Atlantis. I must not pay very close attention to dialogue during fights. Haha.

Overall I'd say Conviction looks better.

But MGS4 wins in character models, hands down. SCC does something similar to God of War III, in that Sam looks quite a bit better than the rest of the character models. Check the cutscene in the the demo between the two agents to see some low detail character models. And these guys are fairly major characters.

Whereas all of the character models in MGS4 are high quality. Check out the Beauty photoshoots for evidence of this (y...

Personally, I think SCC is a good looking game. One of the best on the system. Though visually, the style is more similar to Uncharted 2 than MGS4. I think that would make a better comparison.

SCC has better textures in the environment than MGS4. I don't think that's debatable. However, MGS4 has better character models by far. Everyone who isn't Sam Fisher looks terrible in Conviction. The cutscene in the demo made this abundantly clear. Then again, MGS4 has some of the best char...

What Pachter doesn't know (and neither does anyone else other than Sony) is how much PSP software Sony is selling on PSN. They're making a killing on that software because they don't have to give the retailers a cut.

I know for me, personally, the PSP Go was a major factor in me buying a PSP in the first place. In the end, I found a really good deal on a 3000 and bought that instead. However, a majority of my software purchases are downloads. Even though I have a 3000, I still be...

"i enjoyed uncharted 2 somewhat...hell i played through it 3 times and played the MP every day for a month."

"good game? maybe. great game? hardly. greatEST game? hell no."

I don't care about this discussion or really even your argument, I just want to know why you played a game so much that you clearly don't even like that much. 3 times through the campaign and a month of multiplayer? But it's hardly a great game and may not even be a good game?

One of the problems with PS3 games, as I see it, is that they actually try to be cinematic (and succeed). People seem to sub-consciously critique them on an entirely different level. Mainly, the way they critique movies.

They realize there's an actual story involved and they're drawn into it. And when it turns out to be as shallow as an action movie (the goal) rather than some kind of philosophical Academy Award winner, they're disappointed. It's quite a remarkable phenomenon. It...

Icyhot, you need to learn the definition of a plot hole. Just because it's not explained, it doesn't make it a plot hole. It just makes it unexplained. It's ambiguous.

SPOILERS AHOY!!######################## #####################

Gaia is a possible plot hole, but could be explained. Pandora isn't a plot hole. Zeus isn't a plot hole (he's not omniscient, so we don't know if he knew where Kratos was. A...

The author should finish both games before writing a stupid article like this. He even admits he's still in Hades (which is only 2 hours into the game).

AND he has the nerve to say God of War III doesn't have good pacing? Really? God of War III has some of the best pacing I've ever experienced in a game. I had a hard time putting it down late at night because I wanted to see what happened next.

I love Heavenly Sword. Massacring that massive army is such a great video...

They lost me after Sands of Time, too. I probably should have given the later games a shot, but I wasn't really liking where they went with it.

And that was long before God of War was released.

So: no, I don't see the correlation. But please make a good PoP game and I'll consider revisiting the series.

Sands of Time is still one of my favorite PS2 games.

Let me know when a Halo game surpasses Gran Turismo 3...

Oddly enough, Nintendo fans could say neither the 360 nor the PS3 have anywhere near a heavy hitter.

Halo 3 would have to have sold 6x more than it did to be close to Wii Sports numbers. Let that sink in. Now do see how silly this discussion is?

I've seen the motion sensor method implemented on iPhone games (Labyrinth, for example).

It's pretty cool, but I have a feeling it'll just seem kind of gimmicky unless they use the parallax method (which would be awesome).

Still, interesting stuff. Nintendo is being quite adventurous with their handhelds lately. I'm glad to see them thinking outside the box once again.

And here I was expecting Portal, the game...

Is Portal really the right word here, or was it just used to avoid innuendos?

"I don't know how many guns you have fired, but whenever I fire a hand gun, it typically fires down the same path as my arm. I guess when you fire, you break your wrist to change your aiming point."

I've fired my share of guns, but I'm intelligent enough to know it's just a videogame. There's no recoil, buddy. And as you yourself implied, people who have never fired a gun will be using this, so not everyone's going to have the form of a green beret. Oh and I never said ...

Hit X. You're welcome.

Or is he referring to the short cinematic after you start a new game?

Personally, I'm a fan of both of them. Especially since the first is skip-able.
