Except in God of War 2 the only god you fight is Zeus...
God of War 3 is an all out war between the gods, the titans, and Kratos. And in the end, you kill most of the major gods and titans.
If anything, God of War 2 was more unnecessary than God of War 3. Especially when you account for the time travel.
One of the things I didn't like about God of War 3 is how it doesn't tie into actual history or the present day. One of the best parts of God of War 2 is the game's explanation of how the Colossus of Rhodes was destroyed.
I was hoping it would end and you could at least say, "hey, this could have been what happened". Because that's the core of mythology. There's stories that explain things the people didn't understand.
While it is awesome that Kratos brough...
Good news all around! I wonder if there are still zany conversations, and hidden frequencies? If you get this on UMD: Install. Those voices will be worth it. I hate reading in Portable Ops.
So the shadow monsters are... more like zombies?
The question is, what is being sacrificed when 3D is running? It's awesome that they're doing it, but you will lose something because 3D is a resource hog. But what?
Compared to PSN, 360 updates are practically instant. It's slow. Do you download and install more information on PS3? Of course. But isn't that the problem? The PS3 needs some kind of .zip system so that the information can be compressed, downloaded, unpacked, and then installed. 20 minutes for a game update is ridiculous. Even if it is fast for the file size.
I'm not a big fan of installs either, by the way.
Yeah, I was surprised that completing trial #4 didn't have any consequences in the ending. Shouldn't he go to jail, or something? Not to mention resisting arrest.
Well Hale is dead, so Insomniac can go anywhere they want with the next protagonist. Frankly, I find Insomniac's weapon designs quite refreshing for the FPS genre. For a series that's labeled as generic, I think it's one of the least generic shooters out there. R2 was disappointing in almost every way, but it played great. The controls felt right and I had a blast playing the campaign.
Here's hoping R3 combines everything great from the two games and we get the best Resistance ga...
Insomniac's next game will be PS3 exclusive. I could make up some anonymous source, but that's a little silly. I just think it's common sense. However, I don't think it would be that big of a deal if they did go multiplatform, as long as they keep their quality up.
I would like to see a PSP2, simply because I like new gadgets, but it's not a big deal.
I couldn't care less about the rest, honestly.
Doppelgangers aside, The Goonies is a classic.
@Elven6, I would have never noticed that if you hadn't mentioned it. But now that you have, they look nearly identical. I had no idea she did the voice either. I'll definitely be paying attention to that once I get done with Mass Effect 1.
I completely agree except about "fighter", which is a step in the wrong direction, imho. I want 1:1 games, not games based on gestures.
*Sync ;-)
'Out of sink with reality' is humorously ironic.
I really thought Metacritic didn't allow user scores before the release date anymore. What happened?
We haven't even seen very much of the game yet. How can anyone make the judgment that it will be bad based on the little we've seen?
^^ Xbox Live Silver Members can download trailers. So the "We pay for this" line doesn't really work.
Thank goodness. 5 years was probably too short even for last generation. I mean, God of War 1 and 2 were released at the onset of the current generation. There's still a lot that can be done with this hardware; it would be a shame if the next generation started before developers really started to harness everything these machines can do.
That's my take anyway. I'm perfectly happy with the current gen. I don't even want to start thinking about the next generation yet.
There's no pleasing some people. People complain that the PSP doesn't have any good games, and when one is released, they complain that it wasn't made for PS3. You can't have it both ways.
Anyway, Peace Walker's story isn't a major part of any arc. It's just a side story, so it's perfect for PSP.
"And as for the Move? - WII HD."
And as for Natal? - EyeToy HD.
We are both so clever! /s
What's with the 'he can't be sued' stance? He can totally be sued for libel or slander. In this case, there's probably not enough to rule in Bungie's favor. But HHG is not immune to lawsuits. Journalists are sued all the time for much less.
The US First Amendment does not protect you against libel or slander lawsuits. Sorry.
I like that he says gameplay is most important and then when he begins to talk about gameplay, he says you should play Saints Row or Just Cause 2 instead.
It came across more racist than anything else.
