Someone didn't read the article...
"We’re aiming for 30fps, both for 3D and standard. 3D is obviously a little bit of an overhead, because you have to render twice."
There's your answer right there.
^You clearly didn't play Crackdown.
When was Indiana Jones ever believable? Sure it's a bit toned down compared to Uncharted, but that is what these games are basically based off.
The super-natural elements change up the gameplay. It's an Uncharted staple. If you don't like it, don't play them.
He directed two of the highest grossing films in movie history and a load of other classics. He's a legend.
Even if neither of them were original stories. (I wonder if they'll make a Pocahontas in Space 2?)
IGN didn't have the press release, which includes some details we didn't know before. So I think vg247 is right on time.
Isn't 60 fps needed for decent 3D? I think it's definitely possible.
Well, given that this is the 4th level and Rico is still alive, I'd say that doesn't happen, sorry.
"Guerrilla is coy on the specifics – no doubt down to the fact that the specifics are constantly being fine-tuned and are likely to be in flux until just before the game ships – but it's certainly more responsive than before."
They've definitely changed something.
2012? I don't think we'll have to wait any longer than 2011. UC2 took 18 months. That would put UC3 at April 2011. We'll probably see it Summer/Fall 2011.
What makes you think they're going to release one every year? UC2 took 18 months. They can show a teaser at E3 and still be on pace to release it around then. In fact, 18 months would put it at April 2011. But I'd bet they'll probably release it around Summer/Fall 2011. Though April would be directly competing with Gears 3, which would be awesome.
"Unlike MS, Sony is banking it all on Move. "
I'm guessing you meant "isn't" based on the rest of your comment.
I agree with you that he's not working on Twisted Metal. But I don't think Sony is either. It's just wishful thinking that's been blown out of proportion.
How in the world did Kenrocc_42 get disagrees? All he did was quote the interview to give the quotes in the article context. 90% of the words in his post aren't even his.
I read the full interview and it was a very interesting read. I love hearing about this industry from different perspectives.
No one is trying to "kill" Halo. GG is making games that many gamers like. If you don't like it, don't play them. Simple as that.
I prefer Killzone to Halo, personally. Though I plan on getting Halo: Reach and Killzone 3. I'm sure I just blew your mind.
Oh please. Rico sucked in Killzone 1, too, and he got worse in Killzone 2. You can be a real fan and still want Rico dead.
Get over it, you're in a minority. Calling people "noobs" doesn't make your opinion more important than everyone else's.
TRUE fans hate Rico, too, sorry.
The Electricity gun, the flamethrower, and the bolt gun all were absent in multiplayer (save for the gun specific DLC levels). Do you think GG is dumb enough to allow the Wasp in a regular multiplayer loadout?
I hated him in Killzone, and I doubt he'll win me over in Liberation. He's always been annoying and he actually got worse in Killzone 2. If he would just grow up, I would probably be okay with him living. But if he died, I'd be very relieved. And I doubt many would mourn his death.
For me, the only characters Killzone needs is the Helghast. Especially since they already killed off Templar.
I'm starting to sense that you're a troll...
I can't say this is a GOTY, or whether or not it deserves a 10 in any category. But after watching that video review, if I had a Wii, this is the first game I would buy. That speaks volumes, imo.
Hardly. For the most part, the author showered the game with praise and provided an excellent preview. He didn't like the 3D, but there was much more to the article than that.
But I agree with you about the title. Which is a shame, because the original title isn't flamebait. Now, the article will be overshadowed by some idiot.
