Nah. They keep crapping on their fans at every turn and they burned the hardcore fanbase that bought the Wii U midway through the generation.
Yeah I don't get the love for it either. I'm sitting here asking "did they even play the same game I did?" The writing is top notch and it looks fine (on par with the other games), but that can't carry the entire game to 8's and 9's, and the rest of the game is a horrid slogfest.
Funko Figures (and in conjunction Disney Infinity and Amiibo) are only popular because cheap figures of popular characters don't exist otherwise. Modeling your game characters after them (basically) is just... ugly.
Nintendo needs to stop taking a fat dump on their fans at every opportunity.
Bluray was in no way a gimmick; more storage was an obvious necessity.
Actually it was an official translation done by the company SoftEgg. It was leaked and never released for retail.
This is kinda pointless, as the "temporary" firmware is fantastic and lets you do just about anything.
"first ever English version of the game"
Except, you know, the English version that has existed as abandonware for over a decade.
You do the same mission 36 times. That's not a valuable experience, that's just stupid.
What do you expect the reviewer to say? "The game made me vomit after playing for 20 minutes so I couldn't review it any further. 10/10"?
Yes.
Can someone tell me if it still requires you to basically complete singleplayer to unlock missions in multiplayer? I hate that crap in games.
Too bad it's releasing around the same time as a dozen other games.
Clustertruck isn't a disappointing $60 sequel to a (somewhat) loved series.
@showtimefolks
I love realtime combat. I've loved it since Star Ocean 2. Realtime has nothing to do with why I feel like the game is bad. Not sure why you're lumping me with others.
There are only two Paper Mario games.
Because Sony.
If "3/10" is unplayable then what would you call 2 and 1? 2 being not a game and 1 being malware?
Don't kid yourself, ain't nothing going to top the disappointment of No Mans Sky this generation. Even FFXV, which looks to be a steaming turd will at least have a somewhat interesting gameplay loop and look good doing it.
Honestly I'll wait till they release a non-tablet version for cheaper, if I ever even pick one up. I don't want a tablet and I'd rather save the large sum it probably costs to ship with one. Got burned hard on the Wii U, so I'm pretty doubtful anything outside of a real Pokemon MMO or Monster Hunter MMO could convince me anyway.
