Difficulty would be nice.
They definitely changed a few things, but the problem I have with it is its simply too easy. I know its pokemon so its targeting 11 year-olds, but there is no reason that almost every trainer has a single pokemon, rarely two. No matter what you do, unless you completely dump your party+starter partway through the game, you're not likely to ever lose a battle because 6 pokemon will always overwhelm npc trainers with a single Raticate.
"We don't want a huge day-one patch because 20% of Japanese gamers aren't connecting their consoles to the internet"
"Here's a 7-gig day one patch which adds cutscenes and items!"
Square-Enix hates the west and couldn't be bothered to release the demo worldwide for a game that comes out in less than two weeks. Not sure who's running the show over there, but they are doing a poor job. The last demo we got was downright atrocious but this Japanese-only one is top-notch outside of the glitches and not understanding a single thing while playing it.
Really though, the last demo was so bad I almost didn't even want to rent this game. They shoul...
Actually putting that face on the right on all NPCs would make for a fun cheat code, like DK mode for Goldeneye. Man I miss cheat codes.
Was gonna come here to say this exact thing. Ubisofts storytelling is almost always bunk. Gone is the talent from the Xbox/PS2 era.
Haven't read the article (because Kotaku) but if it doesn't have Secret of Mana and an english translation of Seiken Densetsu 3 I wouldn't touch the thing with a 10-foot pole. Those two are the pinnacle of co-op RPGs and sadly no game since has come close to offering a good co-op RPG experience even after multiple decades.
Not only that but its size is simply too big for Japanese consumers. Where exactly are they expected to store the screen and two controllers while commuting? Man-purses? The 3DS, Vita and mobile gaming in general are popular in Japan because they are small enough to fit in a pocket, this thing wouldn't even fit in two pockets after splitting up the controls and the screen.
They need to copy SSX's wind up for tricks. Having to drop the analog stick to neutral right before you jump and then press the direction you want to rotate right after the jump is frustrating and inconsistent. Grinding is a major missing feature and needs to be added. Also, where are the names of the tricks? Nearly every extreme sport game gets this right and they just left them out.
The G-force system is too random and needs to be fixed or removed. You can hit the sam...
Truly we are in the worst timeline.
I personally hope they go far enough down the financial drain to opt to sell the rights to Timesplitters to someone who will actually DO something with it.
Gamers have really poor memory. The Wii U had nice a list of third parties too, and sure, they all pumped out some late port or half-assed title around launch, and all quickly abandoned it afterward.
Or how it has you do what is basically the same mission 36 times. Or how they sold the game incomplete with the promise of finishing it later with a patch (which I'm not sure has even released yet, as I only rented and returned the game).
Dishonored 2 has a female character because it would be strange if they changed Emily into a male character.
Great, so it manages to almost have twice as many tracks as a game released over twenty years ago. I thought we'd be beyond that a fair bit at this point.
I wish Alice was backwards compatible on the Xbox One.
I was all for this, until I saw that there's only 5 tracks.
32gb of internal was a joke last gen, now it'd be an extreme embarrassment.
I liked Silent Hill 4 a lot, but lets not pretend it doesn't have major issues and deserve a lot of the flack it receives. Melee weapon charge attacks are bonkers OP with 600 invincibility frames, inventory management is complete crap, half the game is an escort mission through areas you've already been, enemy design is poor and the main character is a wet blanket while the antagonist is absurd even for a Silent Hill game. It's easily the worst of the Team Silent games, which isn&...
XCX was awful in almost every aspect besides combat; this coming from someone who loved XC.
