I would buy this, but Nintendo threw in region lock just for ****s and giggles. My only hope is someone like XSEED or Atlus picking it up, or someway to bypass the stupid lock.
Out of all Final Fantasy releases, this one deserved a HD remake the least. Even FF12 could do with the Bluray's larger storage space, as the sound quality was pathetic due to the massive amount of compression they did on it. Expecting SE to do anything reasonable is like asking your pets to speak seven languages. I'm certain this will be simply an upscale to 1080p, complete with the lousy textures intact, and nothing more, ala RE4HD.
Oh boy I'm sure glad we're getting this shovelware instead of Xenoblade or The Last Story.

You say Square is the only part that anyone cares about, but then go on to state that Dragon Quest is the highlight of their "phenomenal" games this gen, which was (is) an Enix property. Wouldn't it be the other way the round? Is your blind hate for the merger (which I agree, was the beginning of the end) clouding your judgement, because as I see it, every Square property that existed before the merger has been crap since the merger.
Hopefully they patch out all the bugs with adhoc party, half the time the rooms bug out.

Its somewhat logical; a T racing game is an easier sell to parents than an M rated shooter. Problem is, this bundle isn't really targeted towards parents, but more towards gamers. If this included Uncharted 3 it would probably be flying off shelves.

Idea is great. Co-op is great. Previous games by the developer are complete crap. I have very little hope for it.
A friend of mine bought that after I repeatedly told him it was trash. He took it back to Gamestop within an hour and told them he'd preorder four copies of Battlefield 3 if they'd take a return, and if they didn't take it back he was going to just break the disc in half right there.
If its a direct port of the PSP version then avoid it and just play the PS1 original. The slow down is obnoxious and downright absurd.
Well I guess that means I'll be pirating and/or buying all Capcom games used from now on. Congrats, assholes.
