Still one of the top 2 games on my list either way... But I do have to admit, hopefully they remove some of those barrels and make this section a little more fun. As it stands from that video, it's more hassle and dumb than it would be fun...
I do have a Silver Account... And I've been tempted to pay the $50 for XBL Gold lately just to have it... But the fact of the matter is I don't game online often, if ever in any given year. The only exception to this was the 2 years I played FFXI like a crack addict at times only sleeping for 6 hours in 6 days... But the point is, having it there, and free is GREAT because on the rare occasion there is something I want to play online for a couple days, a week, or a couple weeks I can. There's...
Lol... I was starting to think the Mailman stole my copy to. I was starting to get frustrated, irritated, pissed off, and sick of grinding my teeth the past 3 weeks waiting for the mail. I just hope it gets here SOON because this WAIT is REDICULOUS!!
@ Hatchetforce and jcgamer:
hatchetforce: Ever think that maybe he just doesn't want to list his gamertags? I don't have mine listed. Doesn't mean I don't own a PS3 and 360... Point is some of us, for whatever reason, might not want to list them on this site, any other site, or put them out there in public.
jcgamer: And each one of those games, other than Viva, are actually better than their MetaCritic Score shows. Blue Dragon is easily better than a 78. Heavenly...
I have to agree. And as a Single Player gamer who only jumps online maybe a few times a year I just can't justify or see the reason in paying to play online [XBL]. Then again, I don't see the reason behind charging for icons either. Those should be available to all 360 owners for FREE. Especially if you're paying $50 a year for an "Online Service" and Online Gaming. Seems to me that XBL is hardly even a service and nothing more than a cash cow in place to line MS's pockets. While it...
and every ounce of content available also costs a fee. While Live has become better over the years I'd chalk that up to nothing more than improvements that would have been made regardless of whether or not there was a cover charge for the Live "Service" which is hardly even a service...
Lol, I was just thinking that. Didn't Forza 2 just release not to long ago? If I'm not mistaken it did. Well, maybe it is was a little while ago but it certainly wasn't that long ago.
And I to am debating whether or not I should even buy Forza 2. Only reason it's even a debate is that the racing genre and me don't play well anymore. I buy a racing game, play a racing game, 2-5 days later I shelf the racing game and set it alongside numerous other games never to played again. S...
I said this last gen all to often. There are very few games that have the quality to warrant a full price tag of $40-50. Games this generation have been essentially the same. Just that now they're in HD. But the quality is still lacking. Namely gameplay. Because length comes with the title itself. There's a place for 6-10 hour games and there's a place for 11-20 hour games, etc. Pound for pound most games just don't warrant the money. Unless you're a hardcore fan of the genre and will play it...
if anything I'd say Gears of War isn't all that, Bioshock is though. Sure Gears is pretty but the gameplay is awful!! I'm about to give it a second chance once I wrap up Blue Dragon but as of right now, IMHO Gears of War is hardly anything special. Kill.Switch was a much better game mechanically...
The fact of the matter is that both consoles have about an equal number of titles worth noting; imo. Then there's obviously the multi platform games that you know will be on both co...
I have to agree on probably every aspect of that comment. And couldn't agree more that when it comes to great games I'm easily willing to pay $60 for them, but 98% of "next gen" or rather current gen titles simply aren't worth the money. But there's so many problems when it comes to game pricing. One is that every single developer/publisher out there will "feel" their game warrants $60. Which as gamers most of us clearly know that's not true. Also each individual has their...
I got the latest issue of PLAY today... Hate to say it but they do have it listed as 360 [misprint? I'm sure we'll soon find out]...
true to some extent. While I'm an avid gamer and novice collector there's just so many releases I often find myself discarding one new game for another. But more often than not I'd have to say that games just aren't that great nowadays and titles worth playing from top to bottom are far and few between. Either they're to long, and filled w/ too much trivial stuff or the gameplay and/or story just become to boring you totally lose interest after 6-20 hours. I'd have to say RPGs suffer the most...
regardless of console or platform EA does in fact stand for No Quality Control. Their games have been lackluster and buggy for years. But you can't blame EA. Blame the gamers who continue to suck this crap up in record breaking/banking numbers. Or wait, can't we blame both? I think we can. As gamers we shouldn't be supporting this crap. As developers they should have better steps, spend more time/money to ensure quality. So yeah, I think blaming EA and the consumers is a very suffice solution...
the only valid point they have is the price point. It's true $400 still isn't a price where the masses buy. But the 360 isn't at that price point yet either... Confusing consumers? I've seen just as many potential consumers for the 360 and PS3 confused by the tech specs, capabilities and needs, or lack thereof for both consoles. Main one being the masses still think you need a HDTV to play games on both consoles...
As for games, well, it hasn't even been a year yet and that's ...
wow!! It will play Blu Ray discs. *looks puzzled* WTF!!?? Info for idiots? Lol
certainly expected though. Although I really don't care. I'm completely happy w/ my 160 GB PS3. Well, maybe not as much happy [come on games] but it's certainly suffice. I'm certainly Glad I had Bioshock, Halo 3, and Blue Dragon to hold me over till Uncharted and other games get released this Winter.
If anything though I hope RETAILERS don't jump the gun on the 40 GB like they did th...
just lost any respect for Rockstar I once had. Lame is an understatement in this case...
this game better coming together correctly. I'm buying it for both my PS3 and 360. ;)
As for the demo. Do we really need one for every game under the sun? If you're interested in a game buy it.
yeah but no matter what happens there's going to be naysayers. No matter which way you rock the boat you'll get plenty of people who agree, disagree, or just flat out understand. It was a lose lose for MS and apparently they took the bigger loss by not allowing such a game to be finished and published both financially and amongst halo fans who would Kill to see this game released. Even if it is on a competitors handheld. But no matter which way you look at it some will always have something n...
idk which is sicker. The game itself or the fact we'll probably never see it released. A shame to because it certainly looks like it could/would be the BEST FPS to make it to a handheld...
Assassins Creed was ALREADY delayed and ENTIRE YEAR to "ensure quality" so another delay? Unlikely. I'd certainly bet against it. Can't wait to get my PS360 running this one...
