So True!! But Uncharted at 8 should be criminal. At least most gaming journalism sources gave Uncharted a fair score. Even the Critic Average at Gamespot.com is 9.0 which is easily the minimum score that game should have received.
On one hand it's certainly great to see that gamespot.com actually gave it a good score, but at the same time, in general this game is overrated. The PC version I could see might deserve a 9.5 because not a whole lot has changed on PC, and there isn't...
that's not the attitude to have. :P it is a good game. As said above, overrated it certainly is, but nonetheless it's a solid, fun game... It's the last game I thought I'd buy this year but last week, having nothing else to really play, I bought Mass Effect. At first I didn't care for it, but once I got into it the game really grew on me... It's highly overrated but it is good; nothing less, nothing more...
My question is if Microsoft publishes the 360 version who publishes th...
in case no one has noticed they already are... I work at a Casino [dealer] and probably half the slots are more like a video game than a traditional slot machine... Matter of fact we used to have a Shinobi [Sega] slot machine [not sure if it's still there]... And a little known fact is that Konami's original specialty is actually slot machines, not games...
If anything donate a large portion to Child's Play by purchasing a bunch of games for kids in Children's Hospitals... but I agree, If the winning bidder ACTUALLY PAYS for the auction he should donate a nice portion of it to a good charity...
Lol, "HD Player Optional. Unlike Sony that forces you to pay more to have a Blu-Ray player in your PS3..." Yet 2 lines above they state you can buy a 360 for $369 + $70 for a hard drive. So for only $50 more you get a HD Player in a PS3. A good effort but it falls short of reason...
Anyway, the article in general is decent. BUT it is only another opinion. HE is right to say there is no such thing as the absolute best, but some of points just aren't reasonable. And wh...
free would be nice. although I don't have the eyetoy and probably never will... idk the exact details but they should have a list of fish and make it so that you can customize your tank w/ whatever fish you want. Select fish from a list and plug them into the tank. Get sick of the same old fish then freshen it up w/ some new breeds... maybe even offer multiple backdrops so it's not always the same thing.
not this crappy list again... who the hell approves this crap? Their list isn't even right, AGAIN!!
exactly... if you're paying more than $24 for Blu Ray or HD-DVD you are being ripped off. Amazon.com and Walmart have some excellent selections and all for a fairly reasonable-reasonable price. The way I look at it is that if I can get a movie on Blu Ray for about $5 more than I'd pay for it on DVD it's a great deal... And $24 is only for new/er releases. A few are $27 but most new/er releases are only $24. Most other titles are about $15-20 which is still steep for some but not a bad price a...
good deal but unfortunately there's nothing I'd be interested in that I don't already have... Pirates 1 & 2, check, The Prestige, check, Casino Royale, check... Not really anything worth getting in my book... then again I'm really picky when it comes to which movies I buy... I Was hoping, though doubtful, to find Ratatouille on that list cause I've been tempted to buy it... oh well...
because there is NO SUCH THING as a PERFECT game it's idiotic to give a game a score greater than 10. I don't care how good the game is, rate it on the scale of 10. I mean what's next? Because games are getting to many perfect scores they'll bump up the ratings to 15? Stupid. Obviously that won't happen but still... Plain idiotic to rate a game above 10 no matter how good it is, or how much you like it...
another prime example of the broken distribution and release system w/ video games. If the games gold, printed, and shipped to retailers why not bump the date up? If it's ready, and ready to be sold sell it.
Only thing I have to say. Casual Gamers = No good for the industry. Why? Because casual gamers don't tend to support the industry much. Sure they might buy a couple games a year to go w/ their console, but thats about all. The more the industry tried to tailor itself to casual gamers the more money they will lose in the long run...
btw: if MS sells you so should Sony. Both have excellent consoles and reasonably strong exclusive lineups. As a gamer we can't be fanboys. Support ...
I have to agree the system is broken, but don't quite agree with some of their comments either... Although a 4 star system, or something that made it so 9.0 was the highest grade a game would get could, and probably would be a perfect fit...
On the remark about the perfect 10 though. Obviously no game will be perfect and that's something most of us, as gamers, should and do know. The rare occasion I rate a game a 10 is because it's an excellent game, easily worth a 9-9.5 but ba...
I have to agree about the garbage/shovelware games. There's too much of it on the Wii. But there are some great games out there, and it's imperative that Wii owners support these games. But if these good-great titles from 3rd party developers don't sell like they should it could influence future decisions from developers.
Anyway, one point I want to make. Just because Nintendo now has the largest, or close to, install base doesn't mean software sales are going to be off the ch...
Actually, if this was still a PS you wouldn't hear PS gamers crying over the score because we all know the series isn't that great unless you're a die hard fan. :P So a score of 6.5 certainly isn't surprising for any Ace Combat because 6.5-8 is right where they rank...
just a continuous showing of the broken distribution & release of games. When will the industry get it's sh!t together and have games shipped to stores, for release, on their release dates?
So.... If NISA doesn't have it's hands to full or their heads up their ass then we'll see Disgaea 3 by next Fall in the US. Fantastic!!
Warms up Disgaea Hour of Darkness in the mean time and Disgaea 1/2 on my PS3. ;)
I wouldn't sell my PSP over a demo... The point is, this game is the sole reason I haven't sold my PSP yet. And even once the game comes out I know 2 people who's PSP I could borrow to play the game. Just saying... this game, and this demo is one reason I decided not to sell my PSP recently. Never been a handheld gamer and I have no reason to own one. I've had my PSP since launch and nothing has given me a reason to keep it. Not only is there very little that's interested me, but I have absol...
I'm about sick of having to wait. Every frekn day for the past what? 3 or 4 weeks I've been grinding my teeth, anxiously awaiting the mail, thinking this entire week, every day would finally be the day I get my GoW demo, but only to continue to be disappointed. This BLOWS. This is the single game preventing me from selling my PSP and after an entire Summer of waiting for the demo to be released, another month of waiting for the demo once it was shipped, I'm about sick of waiting any longer. I...
the Bravia name speaks for itself. I think that Sony already knows it's consumers are aware of how great they are, and if anyone wants to research HDTVs there's better sources [C-Net, and Consumer Reports just to name a couple] than a gaming magazine to do so. So why give OXM a free tv to test and rate? Last year a gaming mag ran a similar HDTV review page and I laughed at it. Not only was it one of the biggest wastes I've seen in a mag but the reviews weren't good at all. Which brings me bac...
