You are pretty misinformed about the capabilities of the Switch. The Wii U was capable of 1080p, but only for a handful of games. There are already more games running in 1080p on the Switch than there were for the Wii U. Mario Kart 8 ran native 720p on the Wii U, but runs full native 1080p on the Switch. Zelda was 720p on the Wii U and 900p on the Switch.
It is a handheld device you know. Doesn't make me an apologist, just makes me a realist.
@nitus10
Excuse me, was I talking to you?
Also, you do realize that the topic was "game company". Maybe you should think a little bit before you bring out your avid hate for the Windows operating system into a topic about game consoles :)
I own a Playstation and I can attest to his statement. I even wrote something myself about it on this thread. Just because someone has a negative view on a particular aspect of a Company/thing doesn't mean they haven't tried it.
That is like when all those Nintendo fans say you haven't played Zelda when you have a few negative opinions about the game.
Well, on the customer service front I can tell you that Microsoft is much better in my experience. I've had to ask a refund from Sony twice and Microsoft twice. In the Sony situation I accidentally purchased Left Behind and The Last of Us for the PS4 not knowing that they were both included in just The Last of Us package (first refund). The second my friend purchased something on what he thought was his account, but it ended up being mine on his PS4. The first refund was easy, but the sec...
Care to bring out your reasoning, Foxtrot?
It isn't just the ability to climb surfaces, or set grass on fire, or gliding. Really it is about the number of physical interactions and freedom you are given. You can approach things however you see fit.
It is kind of like Littlebigplanet in some respects. I remember tinkering with the logic in LBP2 to create some truly unique things. You can do the same thing in Zelda. Some people have made go karts and flying machines with the physics system that is implemented.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence hardly constitutes a "remake".
"Nintendo said the Switch is a console 1st"
Yes, yes they did. But the product is still portable. Let me ask you something, if Sony came out today and said that the PS4 was a VR machine first could you still non-VR games on it? Yes...yes you could.
The console will be treated as Nintendo's home console in regards to the content that is given to the product. But that doesn't retract from its portability at all.
"Nintendo did say it was a console first"
Does that, for some reason, retract its portability? No it doesn't. It is still a portable product.
Depends entirely on the type of game. In Forza 6 they were able to get 85% with some hits up to 100% GPU utilization at 4K and ultra settings at a rock solid 60FPS, which means there was absolutely no bottleneck from the CPU.
You would ignore a video game if most of the main characters were black? I mean...don't you see how that could be misconstrued as prejudice?
I think he was being sarcastic. So, it probably doesn't sting.
I like Tifa's design, and Barrets design. I don't like Clouds at all, but I could live with Sephiroths. Maybe it's the dreads I don't really like. Which is ironic because that is the artists favorite part.
I really think you are the one that needs to "get over it". You've been consistently bashing the Switch almost as much as EddieNX has been defending it, and that is saying something.
People obviously see something in the Switch that you don't. It isn't like your PS4/Xbox is actually being challenged by this console. Just keep playing your system and don't get so uptight.
I didn't understand what Perjoss meant when he said "creepy switch hate campaign", so I took a look at your comments on your profile.
It really sounds like you have some personal issues. 17 out of your first 20 comments are extremely negative and geared to Nintendo. If you hate something so much, my advice to you is avoid it. It will make your life much happier.
Don't really understand why people are disagreeing with your post. The Switch doesn't have a lot of software right now, but it certainly holds a lot of promise. Especially as a portable machine.
By the way, I really hope they do name the next iteration Switch+ now. Switch Lite, New Switch, and Switch Pro just don't roll off the tongue nearly as well.
It is pretty disappointing that you'd rather emulate this game illegally than purchase the product, honestly.
14.99$ USD. Not bad. I think I will pick this up. I wonder when the Phantom Dust Remaster will come.
Well...it is mobile on the Switch so you aren't wrong there.
Pretty sure every fanboy has some hypocrisy to them. No matter what console or platform.
