I don't think that it will, but I bet the Switch will succeed greatly and become one of Nintendo's best selling consoles.

Hence why I put "convenient" in there. If you'd like to carry a bulky laptop with you and a controller to play Skyrim you can, but it doesn't detract from the portability and convenience of the Switch version.
I didn't know this Doom could be played in 2006. I must have missed a few years.
It's not made by Nintendo, so I don't see why that matters.
Because it's portable and convenient.
@LoveSpuds
I doubt most of them do, though some certainly can. Aside from the Xbox One's early launch MS has been quite consumer friendly this generation, in regards to their videogame market at least.
It isn't like Sony or Nintendo don't treat the marketplace as a business either. There are plenty boneheaded decisions and practices made by all companies. I wish Xbox would have more first party, I wish Nintendo wouldn't be so stuck in thei...
It's validation. If a company they don't prefer isn't doing as well as the company they chose it makes them feel better about their purchase.
It isn't just Sony fans of course. Many people that choose a company do this. Unfortunately the majority of people on gaming sites own a PS4 since it's the popular console this generation, so you see more negativity surrounding Xbox.
I'm sure I'll be hit with disagrees, but it's the s...
Your incessant PlayStation fanboyism is so cringe worthy. Can you just go away?
@ABizzel1
I'm not necessarily saying that Xbox One will reach 360 lifetime sales, but I think it's an exaggeration to imply that the Xbox One is currently far behind its predecessor taking our current data into account year by year.
You're right though, unless they launch some very popular gimmick for the Xbox One the 360 will be ahead by the end of each consoles respective life cycles.
Yes, and part of the reason for that is quite undoubtedly a new console iteration on the horizon. Similarly, PS4 sales were down last year for the few months before the PS4 Pro released.
It's not that far behind it's predecessor. It's only half a million behind, and much, if not all, of that will be made up after the Xbox One X launches.
Well the Switch certainly doesn't seem to be another Wii U!
Did anyone else notice that the blood on the bed you were laying on was changed to a scuff texture for the Switch? I hope they aren't trying to remove blood for this version.
Thanks for that notification. I think that the publication saw the Special Edition tag on Bethesda's site and assumed. Unfortunately I'm still fairly new to the posting process, so I don't know how to change this to make it more accurate. Can I change this from news to a rumor? Or does it stay the way it was approved until a report comes in?
You can tell that it's a lower resolution and some textures are downgraded. Other than that it looks great!
You can't objectively measure subjective feelings. It's the same reason why some of you Sony fans say you like Horizon: Zero Dawn better than Zelda, subjectivity. I don't understand why you are talking about hardware numbers or software sales numbers. I'm quite clearly speaking of quality of games, which hardware numbers doesn't affect. As for number of games, well, I can't afford to purchase (nor do I have the time to play) every game on either list. I pick and choose...
I didn't narrow in on PSX. Where in my comment did I focus on PSX individually? I said "conferences". Though you bring up a point. Why include PSX at all when even you know none of the games announced will launch this year?
PS4 has received more games, but I feel the Switch has received and will receive better games. Ive enjoyed BotW and Splatoon 2 more than anything else I have on PS4. Xenoblade 2 is looking just as good as its first entry, and Mario Odyssey ...
The games Sony will present at their conferences will most certainly be for next year. However, most of the content Nintendo showed on their direct will be playable this year, and some were even available immediately afterwards.
Not to mention all the other great games the Switch has already received this year. You can criticize some of them for being Wii U ports, sure, but the PS4 is no better in the port department.
The PS4 and Switch are both doing f...
The portability aspect of every Switch game doesn't make it "less" for some gamers.
Because the console is portable. The GPU, RAM, CPU, storage, cooling system, everything is in a small tablet form factor just a little bigger than a persons hand.
How do you guys not understand that? It's like comparing a laptop to a desktop. Heck, it's like comparing a desktop to a tablet. It isn't industry hypocriticism. Similarly, the Vita was praised for its graphics when it maxes at 960x544. It's praised because it's a powerful portable product.
