Here's what I think is most likely going to happen. At E3 this year at Sony's conference, Versus XIII will be reaffirmed as a PS3 exclusive and a release date will be given for around February/March 2013 in US with a Japanese release date of December 2012 announced shortly afterwards. At TGS, a lot of gameplay footage will be shown. Square wanted XIII-2 out of the way before promoting Versus and I can't see the game releasing later than 2013. I therefore expect more info and a lau...

x86 is 32 bit remember. x64 is better. Though still looks promising. The vita can control the PS4 according to rumours and developers have also started making games for it. I expect a late 2013 release.

I agree with you. The Wii U's power won't be a huge factor but its controller, like the Wii's, will be the making or breaking of it.

Is The Last of Us releasing in 2012? I really am excited about that game because it is a different direction for Naughty Dog and I don't know what to expect from the game besides awesomeness of course.

My i7, GTX 580 and 8 gigs of ram still rape this console but if this rumour is true, it is better than I expected. Though let's remember that this is probably releasing in over a year and half which means hardware costs will have been reduced. Though also think about how powerful new Nvidia and AMD graphics cards will be then.

Its 360 exclusive so even if the best game ever made brainless PS3 fanboys are just going to be negative when they haven't even played it. I'm not a big fan of Kinect but I'll stay open-minded and wait for more reviews to determine if I'll get it.

This is only a review for the co-op.

Resident Evil 2 and Silent Hill 2 are the two best survival horror games ever made imo. Oh when will we see games like those again?

Backwards compatibility hold a console back from its true potential by having the manufacturers spend money on including hardware to emulate past consoles instead of spending it on better hardware to improve the potential of games and reduce limitations for developers. That's why people should keep their old consoles if they want to play older games.

Life cycle of a console does not end when its successor comes out. The PS2's didn't end when the PS3 came out and the PS3's won't end when the PS4 comes out. It will have a 10 year life cycle at least but the PS4 will likely launch late 2013 or early 2014.

Anyone who thinks the PS4 will be able to play PS3 games needs to sign themselves in to their nearest mental institution. I also don't see why core gamers would want backwards compatibility for PS3 games. The PS4 will oikely have a different architecture to the sell making it very costly for it to include hardware that can emulate PS3 games. If it was too costly for PS3s to be backwards compatible with PS2 games, then its certainly going to be too costly for the PS4 to be bc with PS3 game...

The reviewer is basically saying that the game is rubbish but the best game he has ever played despite it being crap. It makes sense if you don' think about it.

I've a high-end pc that I built in the summer and I disagree with you on what you said. Firstly, I have a GTX 580 and have had no problems with drivers or any game so far and I've played a lot of them. Upgrading drivers is simple and quick. I have a PS3 and 360 also but I hardly use them now. I play with the 360 controller on pc and am able to play Skyrim on full settings with hd texture pack at 1920 x 1080. You mentioned sitting on the couch while playing. Well I ...

Imo, Resident Evil should have been kept to its roots. Res 5 should have been more like Res4 but with more horror and scares. Even though it was a great game, Res 5 was not a great Res game. If Capcom wanted to penetrate the shooter market, they could have started a new franchise and set it in Resident Evil's world while leaving Res game alone. The same can be said for Final Fantasy. This hasn't been a great generation for Capcom or Square Enix. I just hope Versus XIII doesn't end...

You what?

Correct. Pcs provide the best experience for multiplatform games on average but due to the costs, most people will game on consoles. Though consoles I believe will ultimately become pcs to compete with tablet devices which are more open and offer better customisation. It may very well be the Playstation Tablet instead of the Playstation 5.

People are making too much of a fuss over the endings. Haven't people got better things to do than complain about the ongoings of fictional universes? I guess they haven't. Moreover, most games have unsatisfying endings. Just look at Fallout 3 where you had to buy DLC to play on after beating the game but not as many people complained about that. The DLC adds an extra character like ME2 dlc. It is not the be all and end all. The problem with the internet is that it gives a voice to id...

Well what is true is the fact that the game's ending can be slightly ruined by article headings being left, right and centre mentioning this controversy. I haven't played the game yet or read any of the articles and therefore I don't know what the controversy is exactly about but yet I won't enjoy it as much now because I think there won't be a satisfying conclusion. That is one of the unavoidable problems with the internet. Sometimes there's too much information and s...

Of course it is all about the games as people here are saying in the comments but better hardware means less limitations for developers to make wonderful games and a greater chance that many people will be able to play the game they always dreamed of. Even forget games running in native 1080p or higher at 60fps, who doesn't want more characters on screen, faster loading times and better looking worlds. Take GTA for example. Go to a high building in GTA IV even on a good pc and look down t...
