Hardly suprising... Microsoft haven't even marketed it to the little kiddies and their mums yet have they? Only people who really know what it is and what it's about are the dedicated gamers who keep up to date with all the news.. and it's pretty much a known fact that us dedicated gamers have little to no interest in what microsoft have shown for Kinect.
In a shop in England called gamestation, they have this disc repair thing you can pay.. costs like £3.00 and it worked for me on a game that previously wouldn't work.

Well Sony really are not about the demand and more about future proofing their console. I think gamers will be ready in two to three years and by then, there will be plenty of 3d games for people to enjoy on the ps3.
On the subject of what computer gamer consumers want.. i'm sure as hell they don't want kinect and i'm doubly sure they don't want such crap games coming out for it.. so perhaps mr Microsoft bigwig should think before he opens his mouth.

I think it could end up being one of the greatest games of all time but from what i've seen, the combat looks a bit crap, the animations clearly need work done on them for some classes.
Couldn't agree more.. with a few exceptions including Chrono Trigger, I can't think of all that many games on the DS that make me feel like I need one. PSP on the other hand has loads of great games.

Tbh, while I won't take anything away from Sony as their presentation was great but really.. for me the main reason I was so captivated by Sony's presentation was because Microsoft's one was just so damn poor. I think an episode of the teletubbies would have captivated me too after watching the microsoft one.
Tbh they're underestimating casuals.. I think they think casual gamers are stupid and don't want value for money.. all their first party games look like something that belongs in the bargain bins. Nintendo didn't sell the wii because they made bad games, they sold it because they let their creative juices flow and mixed that with heart and created some truly unique experiences.. Sony easily won it for me.. I'm a gamer.. alls I care about is games and Sony shown off the most potential in terms of games and have even restored my creative faith at what is possible with motion control to the point where I will almost certainly buy move when socom comes out.
On top of that, 3d gaming while maybe not something I can afford now.. it's something I will certainly be buying in a few years time if it takes off and by then, thanks to sony's initiati...
