When publishers are being offered money from one console manufacturer or the other they aren't going to give a shit about the wishes of PC gamers.
The PC platform doesn't have a multi billion dollar owner offering money under the table for exclusive content like the consoles do.
Personally I'd rather have developers who actually want to develop for PC rather than these parasitic publishers bringing games to the platform just because.
It's a bit more palatable than just having a MP only game with no depth like Titanfall.
Battlefront is just going to be Battlefield with a Star Wars skin anyway.
Personally I'm not too bothered about the game they all play the same way in the end.
So you agree with what I said then as you didn't deny it.
30 less watts on nvidia - more power efficient.
Lower temps due to using less power.
Better drivers due to more consistency and more resources put into them.
GTX 960 is a pretty good card for the price.
You don't seem to like nvidia much so that must make you a AMD fan by default :)
I would have thought supplying both consoles with graphics might have helped AMD but I guess not.
I have always been an nvidia fan as their drivers and cards are so much better than AMDs with much better power efficiency and lower temps.
It seems it's AMD = consoles, nvidia = PC. That's fine with me :)
I got the game for £36.49 + £6.50 credit from gog.com who are owned by CD Projekt. I also got the expansion for £13.50 as I had £6.50 for buying Witcher 3 + £3 store credit.
I got credit back due to regional pricing as gog.com gives the price difference back in store credit the amount you pay over the US price.
So in total £49.99 (game + expansion).
Not bad for the complete Witcher 3 experience. I also support th...
It'll just be optimisation and compression for the different platforms.
I never worry about disk space but I only game on PC atm till Uncharted 4 is released :)
The Witcher games were never about loot.
The steel sword was for killing humanoids and the silver sword was for monsters. That's it.
The armour you found had armour rating and weight with some resistance protection but it wasn't that important like in some RPGs.
There's plenty of ingredients for alchemy though :P
The console gamers should be grateful for PC gamers for supporting DMA Design aka Rockstar North and buying GTA1 otherwise none of this would exist.
You should also be grateful we made The Witcher series into such a success that The Witcher 3 looks like it is going to be one of the best games this generation.
Also Call of Duty and Battlefield series too.
You really should find out the roots of the games you play before you start saying we'...
I have a 760 and I'll be playing this game on PC.
It's a great card and should play Witcher 3 very well.
I'm not sure why you are downgrading to Xbox One to play Witcher 3 when you have a perfectly fine graphics card that will outperform Xbox.
The minimum spec is a Geforce 660 and the recommended is 770 so you will get much better experience than any console version at 1080p.
@Bolts
It's exactly what console developers do to PC gamers. They show anything but the PC version when they show off their games.
CD Projekt RED is a PC developer they show the platform they are most comfortable with.
I don't know why you think it would be any different the other way around.
Nope it's PC, Linux and Mac first. Console maybe later if they can get the funding.
I shall be backing their kickstarter as the game looks to have a lot of potential.
And who's fault is that for delaying the game for 2 years on PC and then expect PC gamers to buy a 2 year old game for full price?
I managed to get it a bit cheaper but not by much. If Rockstar was expecting massive sales from a platform they really don't give 2 shits about they have another thing coming :)
To me 1 million sales on first day is pretty damn good for PC version.
Now how about you split each platform up and compare those...
I don't have the PC version on steam as I activated on Social Club launcher so yes there is more places that count than steam.
Quite a few online retailers such as Greenman Gaming and Nuuvem had Social Club keys and not steam keys.
I got the game from GMG myself.
Approx. 1 million sold in a day is really good for PC as games tend to sell over the long term and don't just fizzle out like console sales do in the first month.
Publishers make a lot more money from PC digital gaming than they do console games due to no royalty fees on PC games.
If the publisher has their own store they make even more money from PC gaming as they don't give a percentage of their profits to retailers.
PC games don't rely on selling the first month then not much at all after that like consoles do.
It's normally a long game where PC games sell consistently over a period of ...
I don't understand why people put more effort into pointing out PC piracy than praising PC game sales.
It seems so negative. You aren't going to stop piracy so just forget about it and move on.
GTA5 is #1 on steam Top Sellers list. It will sell millions of copies that's all anyone should be bothered about.
Tired of console gamers jumping on the bandwagon and talking about PC gaming in a negative light all the time whenever a AAA g...
They patched Witcher 1 and 2 to Enhanced Edition for free on PC so it will be quite interesting to see if they do that again for consoles as well as PC this time around.
Either way CDProjekt RED are brilliant developers who are well worth supporting for Witcher 3 and their future games like Cyberpunk 2077.
Roll on May 19th :)
@Conzul
Nothing to do with Master Race this is how developers should treat their customers and not treat them ...
Yes Dishonored is a brilliant game well worth anyone's time and money :)
It sounds to me that Microsoft kept moving the goal posts and wanted more and more out of the small dev studio for the same investment.
Typical big corporation mentality. They'll pay $2.5bil for Minecraft but won't invest in a small studio because a "suit" wanted more and more out of a game that would have been impossible for a small studio to deliver.
MS really do invest in the most pointless things.
May is going to be a good month.
7th May in UK we get to kick out the current government and then Witcher 3 on 19th May :)
Already preordered the main game and expansion from gog.com :)
Microsoft can try to associate The Witcher series with Xbox all they want.
Everyone knows it's a PC series with PC developers creating the game. I hate it when MS tries to butt into a game series that they never supported until now.
They can fk off back to Halo or Forza or better yet create their own damn games for once instead of trying to buy influence from 3rd party developers and platforms.
And before anyone says it the PC platform is...
