Steam and Valve really do need some competition so they don't get complacent.
I don't think GoG Galaxy will be much of a competition for Steam though. I'm in the beta for Galaxy atm and it offers very little compared to Steam.
Maybe in a few years it will be that competition but not now.
@Lev1903
How do you know Witcher 2 was pirated 4.5 million times? Because the publisher told you so?
How many people pirated the game and then bought it afterwards? No answer?
If Witcher 2 wasn't a success Witcher 3 wouldn't exist.
If someone pirates a game that never intended to buy it in the first place. Is that a lost sale or one that never existed in the first place?
I've preordered the game a...
It's just the usual delay for any PC game from Ubisoft.
They couldn't give a crap about PC platform just like Microsoft.
Don't bother preordering the game until you know it's not a buggy piece of shit like last time.
They can delay it till 2016 and beyond for all I care.
I will never buy another Ubisoft game at full price ever again.
Bargain bin Ubisoft games for me from now on or not at all.
They do this every time. What I find surprising is they think people will buy this after the mess Unity was launched in.
I won't be touching it until I know the game actually works.
You guys do realise it's out on 2nd June 2015 for PC on steam Early Access way before the console release in 2016.
It also has support for Oculus Rift on PC.
It's the last Witcher game as CD Projekt RED were only developing a trilogy loosely based on The Witcher books.
They do have Cyberpunk 2077 in the works atm though :)
Just been reading steam forums where the developers are answering questions from the steam community as they come up.
This looks like it's going to be a good game.
I'll see what the price is on steam in pound sterling (it's $25) when Early Access launches on 2nd June.
They seem to be going for a more cooperative survival games instead of the usual KoS type ones like DayZ or H1Z1.
@T900
It's 21.9GB for GoG preload :)
Already dled and installing now. Just waiting for 19th now till I can play :)
Will be bigger for install though. (24.5GB installed)
Depends where you get it from.
I got my preorder from GoG and CD Projekt owns GoG.
I'm actually pre downloading the game from GoG right now :)
And then you can buy all the same remastered games again as there is no backwards compatibility with consoles.
Consoles aren't cheap there is so many hidden costs involved to get the best out of them as well as the expensive games.
PC gaming has all the costs up front but the games are cheaper and you can do some much more with the PC besides gaming.
I upgrade some parts every 4-5 years I don't buy top of the range though.

What's this marketing deal Microsoft have got for Witcher 3?
I haven't seen any sign of it or heard anything about it.
The only exclusive stuff that MS has got is the pack of cards in the Collectors Edition of the game.
If they do have a marketing deal they aren't putting it to very good use. Deceiving people is not the way you market a game for your system.
It's Microsoft's fault no doubt about it.
They have a reputation for trying to deceive the customer.
It's not like this is the first time they've done this.
I seem to remember a couple of weeks ago they tried the same thing on Official Xbox One youtube channel. They also tried to pull this stunt at E3 last year as well.
It only came out about the PC footage because CDPR busted them by saying the footage was f...
PC gamers will not be happy if the Xbox One has exclusive content considering PC gamers funded the game on kickstarter to get it created in the first place.
I wish Microsoft would just stop flashing their money around, fk off and stop buying timed exclusivity all the time. They should put the money into creating proper exclusive games with their own studios instead of leeching off other developers work.
No 95% of the videos are from PC because CD Projekt RED are PC developers.
You're lucky you're getting Witcher 3 on consoles.
Well a lot of the current console games started out on PC so maybe you should give more respect to PC gamers that supported the games in the beginning.
You wouldn't be getting The Witcher 3 if it wasn't for PC gamers.
Now go back to your korean-like grind "MMO" called Destiny :)
Well this is CD Projekt not CD Projekt RED. CD Projekt is the parent company of CD Projekt RED and GoG.com.
CDPR are just the developers of the Witcher games nothing more.
I'm guessing CDP didn't want GMG undercutting them on GoG.com so didn't offer them an official partnership.
GMG were an official partner for Witcher 2 though.
It all comes down to greed as usual.
It'll be just like playing Mass Effect 3 without playing the other 2 games in the series hehe.
Only PC gamers get the full experience really as The Witcher is still a PC exclusive.
This is why I'm so looking forward to the game being a PC gamer myself :)
If Tomb Raider only comes to Xbox consoles all parties lose out especially Square-Enix and Crystal Dynamics.
It's on Microsoft's head if it does fail though. They wanted something for their console and to deny other platforms the game. So be it.
I don't see how the game will make a profit limiting the gaming demographics to just Xbox. Makes no sense.
I won't lose sleep over it. It'll be just another failed game. Plenty mor...
If the first Witcher sold badly on PC there wouldn't have been a Witcher 2 and 3 developed.
Console gamers are lucky to get The Witcher 3 as the series has been one of the best games on PC for the last few years.
If we had a multi billion dollar company behind the PC platform it would have stayed a PC exclusive and would have never gone to consoles.
Witcher 2 didn't do that well on Xbox360 when it launched so why do you think it will ...
