Let's see it running on an average users PC. Not doubt it looks better on the quad-core CPU and 8800 GTX set-up, but not many people have that kind of rig. This is the best case scenario, but not the common one. I used to be a PC gamer, but upgrading conponents all the time got too expensive. Wht you buy today is obsolete in 6 months. At least the consoles have a lifespan of 4-10 years with the games released.
At least these times are more civilized than the late 80's early 90's. I was quite active in the Genesis vs. Super Nintendo flame wars, and the companies took shots at each other left and right. At least Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony seem to have some repsect for each other, minus the arrogance of Ken K. of course.

Seriously, I love the halo series. Microsoft is doing this correct by having different types of games based on the Halo universe. I personally do not like RTS games, so I won't buy Halo Wars. It's that simple. They're expanding the Halo franchise to different genres. It's not sequalitis by any means. Not like the lackluster yearly installments of other games (EA).

I don't care how many "studies" Sony provides, running a CPU at max utilization for expended periods of time WILL cause a hardware failure, it's just a matter of time. No free download of their Live Arcade rip-off will do me any good with a broke PS3.

I hooked it up and loaded Resistance. After I tried it out I downloaded a demo. The system showed I have 46GB remaining. Where the hell did the other 14GB go? Resistance is not one of the games that installs data on the hard drive, is it? Also, why do I have to install demos after downloading. The 360 doesn't make me do this.

I gotta say, for media the 360 wins hands-down. I can stream everything from the PC. That's why I only wanted the 20gb model. Also, I prefer the speed of a wired connection to the wireless modem that came with my DSL. I learned that from the damn Wii, which took over an hour to update and crawls when I tried out the browser. Speaking of which, am I the only one who finds browsers on consoles to be a waste of time? This game is lookin sweet! 360 has come a long way in filling voids int he original xbox line-up. Still FPS heavy, which is by all means fine with me. But now we got tons of racing, RPG, RTS, adventure, sports, ect.

said the same thing about the N64 vs PS1. Rouge Squadron could ONLY be done on the N64. Then Rouge Leader could ONLY be done on th Gamecube. Do you guys think that's true, I sure as hell don't. This game does look very promising, but certainly could be done on the 360 with equal results if it were not exclusive.
