traded in my 360 for gamestop credit as I know microsoft will not be supporting 360 during the transition as evidenced by holding on to my original xbox during the first transition. Microsoft is looking ahead again and not supporting current gen at all with exclusives. I may be biased but their activity seems to suggest the same pattern of behavior as fully supporting the new console and not supporting the outgoing at all, I see the need with limited first party studios but just look at the P...
Agreed. I own Flower and Journey on PS3 and love them. But I would not pay to replay them again with higher framerate and resolution. The experiences were magnificent (especially Journey) as they were and a graphics bump is not worth paying again in my opinion. That is also a significant reason why my PS3 will sit beside my PS4 for a year or two (along with the PS Plus free games still coming out)
I'll keep the PS3 just becuase of the free games every month on ps+
"It doesn’t seem powerful enough to justify a cost of $1,000 USD. But it IS a remarkable feat of engineering in terms of how small it is"
That about sums it up. Don't see this box being a success as people want performance for that amount of money not just small size.
"it came to the conclusion that with an entirely new engine, it could do somewhat of a reboot"
Thought it was not a new engine but the old one highly revised. Either way, looks too similar to the old ones graphically and gameplay wise to invest $60 on it. I cancelled my preorder last week and prepaid Infamous SS.
Looks pretty damn good for being a free game. Will have to try out to see how limited everything is without spending real money on upgrades. I am a cheap bastard.
Love this growing trend on consoles. Especially excited about all the new ones coming to PS4. Not having any games to play should not be a problem this launch.
Very interesting. Another unique title to keep an eye on.
I picked one up last week with the price drop. I got the bundle with Unit 13, one year ps plus, and the 4 gb card for $199. Love everything about it except I cannot fit the games on the memory card and the larger ones are so expensive.
So I downloaded all the free ps plus vita games to my ps3 and will use the transfer tool to swap on the memory card. Is that what most users do who cannot affort more expensive cards yet?
Galak-Z looks interesting. Really looking to see what the Super Stardust crew is up to as that is one of my favorite simple time-killers on the PS3 and looks fantastic in 3D.
I am curious to see this ambitious interactive series/game being worked on. Usually these types of projects are hyped greatly and fail due to over-reaching. Console loyalty aside, I would like to see something this unique being successful and possibly ushering in a new type of interactive entertainment. I expect the usual bickering of XBO vs PS4 in almost every article posted here but the point I took away from this article was creating a new and innovative experience (which happens to be bac...
Preordered this bad boy. Cannot wait to play it. Looks amazing and in my opinion the best exclusive launch title for nexgen.
looks good I wish I could get both at launch. But for me the PS4 being cheaper coupled with the exclusives I prefer is the winning package. Love the Forza series but I never finish racing games, and the rest of them are not most-haves for me (although titanfall looks like it could be fun). Will definitely pick up the XO when it gets its first price cut.
XO reveal was disappointing to me. I was hoping the PS4 would look better but when they revealed it at E3 I was let down again (and by lack of applause at the conference so were others). At the moment I prefer the PS4s looks but they are both growing on me the more I look at them. My launch PS4 will fit nicely in my current entertainment center but when I get the XO down the road I might need a bigger one to house that behemoth.
I know graphics aren't everything but damn this game is not a looker. Hopefully it will be a PS+ free game so I can gives it a go.
I suspect there will be many matches with poor cordination between players as described. I am still excited to play this and preordered my copy with PS4.
The game looks interesting. Definitely would like to give it a try on my PS4. Games like these only get me more excited over what will be revealed next E3.
I prepaid my PS4 and Battlefield 4, COD: Ghosts, and Killzone : SF. I love me some FPS.
Not terrible interested in this game as the sci-fi genre is getting over saturated. Killzone: SF and Destiny look better in my opinion. But this takes away the main XBO arguing point which I find hilarious.
I believe that is a BS technical explanation from EA to not to support a Wii U version for financial reasons only. 3rd party games sell like crap on Nintendo systems even though the Wii U has been proven to be technically capable compared to X360/PS3.
