Some for some of the games listed the player numbers may not correlate well with sales. For example Deus Ex Mankind Divided, was free on PlayStation plus and was disclosed by Square Enix as under-performing in terms of sales.
That is about the point where I stopped reading the review.
I will admit I didn’t read the whole review. However, the review being presented here reads more like a summary than an actual review, it lacks any real critical analysis.
BFV launch is obviously getting way less engagement from players than BF1. When BF1 launched it rocketed to the very top of Xbox Live. BFV appears to have reached the top 10-15.
I feel Beyond Good and Evil 2 is taking the wrong direction. Ubisoft is obsessesed with making “everything” open world. I liked the original Beyond Good and Evil for being a simple stylish adventure game, this sequel isn’t what I was expecting.
Obsidian was forced to rush Fallout: New Vegas, plus the game ran on a dated engine.
Sony online and Sony Music are fairly distinct branches of the greater Sony from Playstation. Journey is game that was Playstation exclusive for over a 5 years.
The trademark owner is Sony

Surprising, since I’m certain Journey is owned by Sony.
Title is deceptive...
So far I am excited for Ori 2 and Gears 5. My expectations for Crackdown 3 are conserved, but to me the game has never looked terrible. Also Battletoads could be interesting. With their being no Forza next, MS has only two confirmed AAA titles for 2019. Maybe there could be one surprise game from MS, wish I hope would be the rumoured Perfect Dark game.
It was announced that MS bought Obsidian last month... the purchase was the subject of many articles linked to this site.
Outer World was in development as a multiple platform title and obsidian owned IP. MS likely owns the Outer World IP now due to them purchasing Obisidian. MS, could have likely bought out Outer World’s publishing rights or blocked the PS4 version of the game. However, MS and Obsidian are likely better off just abiding to the original publishing contract with the title being multiplatform.
I think a more correct statement would be running some games as 4K 60Fps. The resource cost of running games such as RDR 2 at 4K 60 FPS is still very high, requiring beastly CPUs and GPUs.
In all fairness, Epic, didn’t put much effort into Unreal Tournament 4. A multiplayer only Unreal Tournament is a title Epic should be able to develop in under two years. Epic as a studio has become inefficient they spent 6 years working on Fortnite.
Battlefront 2 (2017) was in no way shape or form designed for E-Sports, hence the game was designed initially to be pay-to-win. Shooters that had or still have success as E-Sports include Unreal Tournament, Team Fortress Quake, Overwatch, Halo, Gears of War and Counter Strike, the previously mentioned games all have smaller team sizes and an emphasis on weapon (and player class balance).
I generally enjoyed most of the Call of Duty campaigns I have played. I wasn’t too fond of BLOPs 3’s and Ghost’s campaign though. I have not been a annual buyer of COD and I likely won’t buy entries into the series that lack campaigns. I personally strongly dislike Dice’s recent campaigns, it almost like the single players missions are made with minimal effort.
Campaigns (and even single player only shooters) in shooters aren’t going away. Doom Eternal, Halo Infinite and G...
While getting more studios is good, Microsoft Studios shouldn’t allow itself to get too big.
What is wrong with a game being complete at a launch?
Except Alfonso Ribeiro probably has no ownership over the Carlton Shuffle, the dance created by(or for) a character he played. The Carlton Shuffle was in Doom (2916) MP, why didn’t Alfonso try to sue iD & Bethesda?
