It would make more money as a non-VR title with optional VR aspects.
Samus Returns was a DS and remake, while Metroid Prime 3 is a switch title. Prime 3 requires much more resources, planning and time to create than Samus Returns. The aspects of Prime 3 that I noted should be obvious to anyone with modest awareness of how game development works.
The “[insert game title ] run on switch excuse is played out. The Switch ports of more demanding games such as: Doom, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus and The Witcher 3 don’t look or run nearly as well the base Xb1/PS4 versions of the game. If a game is too technically demanding, stripping it down its assets to run on weaker hardware isn’t always the correct course of action.
I've been on the fence of buying a Switch for some time now. I have enjoyed several Nintendo games in the past. However, I am not attached to Nintendo franchises (outside of Metroid Prime) due to their games lacking story. My biggest grip with the switch is the cost of the system's older first party games and the Wii U ports.
Yup, Ice-T, Bodycount, Cypress Hill hard hip-hop and Rap Metal/Rock.
If Bethesda wanted to market Doom with rap music they should have used a Rage Against The Machine Track (.e.g. killing in the name of).
The Halo collection was 4 games and Gears of War:UE was not full priced. I think Sony priced the remasters of some of their PS3 to PS4 titles too high.
I tried Black Mesa years ago and couldn’t get into it. I have played the original Half-Life too many times, the game is old but has aged fairly well. The original Half-Life is a must play for shooter fans.
The lightsaber not dismembering humans and humanoids doesn’t make sense based on lore. However,Disney, EA and Respawn where probably fearful of an M-rating from the ESRB.
As an aside the sequel trilogy films seem to understate how powerful lightsabers are. In the prequel and original trilogy a lightsaber could cut a head or arm off with minimal applied effort from a Jedi or Sith. Yet, in the new movies Finn survives a hard lightsaber slash to his back and Kylo takes a hard...
Sony didn’t state or confirm that GT Sport has Sold 8.2 million copies. Sony confirmed 8.2 million users have played GT Sport.
The biggest studio Microsoft bought recently was Playground Games, a studio that didn’t own any big IPs. So Playground likely cost Microsoft significantly less than Insomniac cost Sony.
To me it seems pretty obvious that Platinum stretched itself too thin with multiple projects ?
Insomniac didn’t own many big ips that why the purchase figure may seem low.
Platinum Games is trying to move towards self-publishing despite not having the finances to do so. Unfortunately for Platnium Games, despite their name, the games produced by the studio have never been huge sellers.
You forgot that there is a PC version of the Outer Worlds.
He lost a lot of money due to lawbreakers flopping and his studio failing.
My issues with gears 5 relate to how the game is monetized. You cannot unlock characters without excessive grinding unless you buy credits (iron). You can only earn 500 iron per tour of duty, which is only enough to buy one character every 3 months. Numerous skins and even characters are locked behind a paywall in Gears 5, unlike Gears 4 were most characters except (the two guests) and e-sport skins could be unlocked.
He did some good things for Gears of War. But, Rod likely had his hand in implementing things that I correctly dislikein Gears 5. Such as: the hyper-montenzation of content, lack a near lack of earn-able credits and the introduction of hero-mechanics in non-ranked modes.
I think Halo: Infinite might be good showcase for the performance differences between the XB1, XB1S and Xbox Series X. I assume the cross-gen MS titles for the first two years because the first party titles likely started development as Xbox One games.
Couldn’t Microsoft in theory make a surface version of the Xbox One or Xbox Series X ?
