Phil Spencer and stated that they will be releasing Microsoft studios titles (except Minecraft) will be Xbox and Windows PC go forward. Phil admitted releasing Ori on switch caused confusion.
Also:
-Minecraft has always been multi-platform
-Cuphead is not owned by Microsoft
- Ori and the Blind Forest seemed to be released on the only to promote its follow-up
- Banjo and Kazooie was licensed for inclusion in Smash in the same way guest characte...
I watched performance analysis videos by digitalfoundry and nxgamer. Both YouTube channels highlighted the performance issues present in Control on consoles.
I really enjoy Remedy’s titles (Max Payne 1-2, Alan Wake and Quantum Break). I however, held off on Control due to it’s performance issues on current-gen consoles. The power of the Series X and PS5 will allow the game to perform and play much better.
The game in years that I’ve bought and not beaten was Sekiro. When I don’t beat games it’s because I don’t find them fun. I finish the games that buy because I focus on one title at a time. Not finishing a game makes me feel like I wasted my money and time.
I beat Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden:Black multiple times. I never found Alma to be that difficult.
This is the same company that laid off hundreds of employees during a profitable year to pay big bonuses to higher staff.
The Witcher 3 on the switch isn’t a miracle. It was achieved by heavily scaling back the game’s assets.
I tried the Outer Worlds via gamepass, I never got more than 3 hrs into it. The game is very visually dated and not technically impressive. Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4 had more interesting worlds. I don’t think the Outer Worlds deserved much of the high praise it recurved. However, I never finished the game, so I can’t fully judge it.
I don’t buy digital because I like to collect, and download sizes on some games are pretty high. My internet is also overpriced and slow due to living in Canada. Plus, I feel no ownership over digital copies.
I noticed that a lot of kids in high school and middle school tend to have only digital games. However, they don’t actually buy and play many games. Kids often only buy what's trendy and popular.
Some publishers like Activision have tried to p...
The death of physical games would give stores like Walmart less incentive to stock and sell consoles.I think their will be 50/50 split between physical and digital copies at least for a while.
Sony (and every other game company) doesn’t need to maintain servers for games with extremely low player counts.
Microsoft could probably achieve full backwards compatibility by brute force emulation instead of translating the code of the games. The need to translate the game codes is what leads to the licensing issues.
Why get rid of it? Backwards compatibility is a good feature to have especially for people with large digital libraries and those who collect games. I hope some day, Microsoft achieves 100% backwards compatibility from OG Xbox to Xbox One. The software is there to do so, but licensing is a hindrance.
If the Series X is " only capable of 30 FPs" then the PS5 will be a solely 30 FPS console too. In reality, regardless of what you think we will see games running at 60 FPS (maybe even higher) on the Series X (and PS5).
I’m interested in buying the Bioshock Collection for a summer replay of series. I would never buy it on the switch, due cost (overpriced) and performance. Also, don’t see the ability of playing away from my TV to be that appealing. Unlike the Switch ads, I rarely ever see people playing their switches in parks, on buses etc.
The Bioshock Collection can be bought for way cheaper and with better performance on the PS4,XB1 and PC. I personally wouldn’t support these expensive switch ports of old games.
Microsoft owns the video game rights to Battletech which includes: Mech Warrior, Mech Commander and Mech Assault. They licensed out the video game rights to the external developers and publishers. Microsoft has: published battletech games before (e.g. the two Mech Assualt games) The current license to battletech probably hasn’t expired with the various partners.
Detroit: Become Human and Beyond: Two Souls are owned by Sony. Therefore,Quantic Dream needs Sony's permission to release the titles on steam and PC.

The motion controls in the Wii version of the Metroid Prime trilogy gave me motion sickness. I think all 3 games will play better with a traditional control.
$4600 for a ship pack, lol. I could spend that amount of money on an Xbox Series X, PS5, Nintendo Switch and 40-50 games.
