I haven’t played Fallen Order yet. However, I firmly believe that if Cal was female (And everything else about the character were the same) the character would be treated differently by “journalist”.
Halo 4 had similar sale figures to Halo: Reach. Also, Halo 5: Guardians sold 5 million in 3 months, according to Frank O’ Connor and it still has a viable player-base 4 years after launch. The franchise is still doing well even if it isn’t the dominant console FPS anymore.
Alien Isolation on PS4 (and XB1) was not a well optimized game. Nor, is Alien Isolation a showcase of the hardware capability of PS4/XB1. There are games on the PS4 and XB1 that the Switch essentially can’t run, for example RDR 2.
Nice update. However, Coalition is still holding back characters due to the hero mechanics in arcade, escape and horde. As a mainly competitive player I hate the fact that classic COG and Locust characters haven’t been added yet.
Shenmue has never been a high selling franchise.
The gap between the release dates of Halo 5 and Halo:Infinite is 5 years.
Shouldn't Cyber Punk 2077 be playable on the the Scarlet and PS5 when those launch due to backwards compatibility,
Switch ports tend to always have a high price. Even the first-party Wii U ports such as Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze were sold at $60.
“Who cares? It’s half-Life!”
Fans, that have waited 12 years for new half-life game are probably disappointed that this game isn’t Half-Life 3. Also, Valve is obviously just using the half-life IP to promote their VR head set. A multiplatform, sequel to Half-Life 2. was what most half-Life fans want. I don’t think too many gamers (And Half-Life fans) are interested in forking over 100s of dollars for a VR set (and maybe even additional 1000s for a powerful PC) to play a VR ...
People who complain about skill-based match making because they dot want to play against people of similar skill to themselves.
The prices are insane. Some character skins cost $20 bucks. Effectively a few purchased characters would be more than an outright purchase of the game.
I don’t understand why The Coalition would have such fee characters at launch and not expect any negative reactions. Gears 4 had plenty of characters to unlock. And the characters that required grinding to unlock such as Aaron Griffin could be unlocked in a few hrs.
I think Gears 5 is a great game with a terrible, unrewarding progression system. Their simply are enough weapon, characters and skins to readily unlock( without excessive grinding). The number rod available characters in MP is far to low, as many classic characters aren’t playable. You can’t really unlock anything meaningful through general play and levelling up.
In an interview, Phil Spencer mentioned the economy of Gears 5 without being directly asked. This proves that the ...
Action Adventure is a very “catch all” genre. It I often included games like Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Batman Arkham series , RDR, GTA V, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Metro series, Far Cry etc. The perviously mentioned games have some similarities, but they overlap heavily with differing genres.
You obviously haven’t played much Gears competitive PvP the skill gap is massive. And despite the success of Gears of War during its “hay day” , the series has generally not had a strong causal player retention.
I find it odd that Control got a game of the year nomination over DMC 5, Gears 4, and few other games.
I still find the categories for the game awards to be strange. For example they have best “action” game that lumps a bunch of genres together. Best shooter should be category separate from “action” game. And Metro Exodus is nominated as “best action game” despite it being a an Action adventure games. There is also no best technical graphics.
The Coalition also added the hero mechanics in Arcade, Horde and Escape to appeal to casuals. I glad the hero mechanics aren’t in competitive. However, hero mechanics have either stunted the game’s roaster or the Coalition is holding back characters.
Half-Life 3 is game that should be made. There is no real reason for the title to have not been produced. Valve's poor management of Half-Life 3 development was insulting to fans that supported the franchise. Instead of Half-Life 3, valve has allowed trash like Hunt Down the Freeman to be produced via a granted license. Fan's are simply asking for a proper sequel to Half-Life 2: Episode 2. Half-Life 2 is the only highly successful game. for a financially stable developer, with a c...
This announcement is likely going to piss of a lot of people, including myself.
Bloodborne, God of War, Spider-Man and HZD were not polarizing. Nor was their any controversy over how the previously mentioned games were reviewed. Death Stranding has some review controversy; as many reviewers that criticized the game’s core components still gave it very high scores.
