Yes, I played it was a pre- alpha 5 months from launch. It didn’t look good and people falsely assumed it was representative of the final game. The final game looked great.
Halo Infinite needs to improve its lighting and some of the textures. And maybe include non-static foliage. I also think the enemy colours should be subdued.
Even if it was an earlier build the what 343i presented was not a good showcase for the Halo franchise and the Series X. Gears 5, a current gen game looks much better. The real-time cinematic showcase of Everwild looked better than Halo Infinite. The realtime demostrations of the Medium and Crossfire X also looked better. I will assume that the final build of Halo Infinite will look better than what was presented. The gameplay from this real time teaser ( 2153d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment
RDR 2, God of War 4, Horizon Zero Dawn and many other games in the history of gaming had better stories than Last of Us Part 2 in my opinion. Unlike its predecessor the Last of Us Part 2, seems to overtly go out of its way to get you hate or like specific characters. I finished the game and it fun to play. Overly I think the Last of Us Part 2 is a solid game. However, I personally don’t consider it to be a masterpiece.
I’ve held off on buying a Switch due to its lack of competitive game pricing. I think the pricing of the system is fair, but the overall entry price is too high. Switch Pro controllers cost more their PS4 and Xbox One counterparts and aren’t packaged with the system. Nintendo doesn’t offer impressive switch bundles either.I also figured once I played the Nintendo exclusives that interested me, there wouldn’t be much use for the system. I had the same issue with the Wii U I purchased way back ...
Look at the passes Nintendo generally gets:
1. Dated hardware
2. Expensive Games (including selling low budget games at an AAA price and a lack of price drops)
3. Poor netcoding
4. Dated Online Infrastructure
5. Lack of new IPs
6. Re-selling ports
7. Build quality
8. Selling and re-selling 2-3 versions of the same game.
9. Very dated visuals in some of their titles (e.g. Pokemon Sword and Shield)
10. Poo...
Nintendo has a tendency to slow down first party releases and coast of the strong sales of their games. The Switch will maintain strong sales due to existing strong, well reviewed Nintendo games and a general lack of competing handles.
I agree with what was stated in the digitalfoundry video, the game needs either more static lighting and/or ray-tracing to alleviate the lighting issues. Also, I support the suggestion to target 1440p instead of 4K, which was also stated by digitalfoundry. I plan on playing Halo Infinite on a Series X. I also want to install and play the game on a base OG Xbox One. I want to see the differences between the Series X and base Xbox One versions of the game.
I hope 343i can resolve the lighting issues highlighted by digitalfoundry( https://www.youtube.com/wat... I played Halo 5 ranked heavily. Hopefully Halo Infinite arena maintain good weapon balance and a competitive MP sandbox.
Impressively small....🤣
I still think Max Payne 3 is the most violent game I have ever played. A remastered Max Payne 3 with RDR 2 gore & blood tech would be stunning.
Then why didn’t 343i label the demo as an alpha or pre-alpha? Textures in the demo looked uneven.
I sense that Halo Infinite is using a lot of nostalgia. Which I worries me somewhat. I don’t want the game to be ‘requel’ like the J.J Abrams Star Wars films. Hopefully the Created and Promethean story-arc from Halo 4 and 5 isn’t simply “swept under the rug” to make room for the Banished ( who weren’t present of even mentioned in Halo 4 &5).
I don’t like that 343i are using Halo 3 influenced designs for the banished infantry. The banished in Halo Wars 2 and associated ...
@PyroMessiah86 I’m pretty confident the game will look better come launch. As you mentioned if you look at comments on YouTube from various channels, there is far less negativity towards the gameplay and aesthetics of Halo:Infinite .
Halo Infinite looked better when watched it a second time without live streaming. However, I think Gears 5, GoW and HzD look better. The textures in the gameplay reveal look uneven and not fully finished. Halo Infinite looks about on-par with Doom Eternal, maybe a little better. I think finalized graphics of Halo Infinite will look better than what was shown. However, I think 343i went with a much more stylized, less realistic look for Infinite than Halo 4 and 5.
Sekiro is a ninja game not a samurai game.
The Banished were the main antagonist of Halo Wars 2. Hopefully, the created and Promethean forces lead by Cortana haven’t just been swept under the rug to appease people who want nostalgic enemies.
Some people are saying the Halo Infinite gameplay was pre-alpha. It maybe that the game is heavily stylized, but graphics didn’t look as good as Gears of War 5 for example. My stream was terrible though, as it was chugging and stuttering.
Rare is not the lead Developer of the Battletoads Reboot. They’re assisting and supervising Dlala Studios. Rare has roughly 200 employees, and the studio has a history of working on several projects at once.
I would like Rare to return to doing non live service games. Everwild looks interesting, but not much about the game has been revealed. Maybe tomorrow we’ll learn more about Everwild.
Some Canadian were eligible to apply for $2000 of monthly financial aids called a CERB. Once the CERBs were sent out, TVs, Consoles, etc. started to rapidly disappear from store shelves.
