I meant Xbox One.
Halo 3 was probably the easiest to port too. It had a native Xbox version unlike Reach. Nor did Halo 3 consists of two separate engines (e.g. Halo 2A and Halo:CEA).
Personally I blew up the dog named Bear with an explosive arrow. The dogs in the game aren’t cuddly, they are viscous attack dogs. The dogs are trained to track down and kill threats. Plus as you said it’s a video game, not real life.
You seem to be ignoring the fact that Microsoft stated that they would support the XB1 for 1-2 years. 3rd party developers don't have to keep developing games for the XB1. The Xbox first party titles are cross gen because they started development as XB1 games and PC games. First party Microsoft games already show noticeable differences across XB1S to high-end PC.
The Xbox One X and PS4 Pro were introduced mainly due to a demand for high resolution games (and somewhat enhanced graphics). The two upgraded consoles also occasionally offered higher frame rates. Upgraded Series X and PS5 maybe valuable if their is an increased demand for 120FPS or higher than 4K resolution. However, in my opinion frame rates above 60FPS and resolutions above 1080p are marginalized due to diminishing returns.
The Series X vs Xbox One versions of games may not necessarily be the same. E.g. remember how different the XB1/PS4 versions of Shadow of Mordor were from its 360/PS3 counterparts. Graphics engines have become more scalable. However, the Series X version of games may have features that can’t be done on the XB1.
I would really love for Double Fine to work on a Banjo or Conker game.
The Wolfenstein 2 and Doom (2016) didn’t deserve the praise they received. The ports are heavily stripped down graphically and blurry with poor sub-30 performance and a high price tag.
Why not just use a user reviewer verification system. People posting their review and/or review scores will need to provide a verification of playtime by linking their PSN, XB Live, Nintendo or steam account. There are accounts of Metacritic that spam tens and zeroes based on their personal biases.
I think the ending may have worked better if Ellie’s flashback memory was of Joel comforting her after she killed David. Otherwise , I think it would of been more convincing to have Ellie kill Abby (and Lev).
If “Fable 4” is not announced late this month, I will be baffled. I’ve been seeing reports and rumours about “Fable 4” since 2016.
I think publishers need to move away from relying so heavily on AAA games. Increasing the prices of AAA games may not be the right choice.
Raising the price of games by $10 dollars may drive down full-price purchases. If the price is raised and full priced buyers go down enough, publishers won’t generate more revenue by raising their game prices.
I got stuck on The High Road level for like 2 hrs. I decided to cheese it using the rope walking method.
She isn't big? She's described as "built like an oxen" in the game.
Where is she going to get the roids from ? Steroids aren't as mass produced as antibiotics. Most people don't use, want or need steroids to live.
Her body in a post apocalyptic setting is unrealistic. It is very hard for women to bulk up and maintain lean muscle mass. Where is she getting all the protein and surplus calories? It's shown that food is rationed and under controlled distribution in the WLF headquarters. She is also unrealistically strong compared to the other characters in the game. The amount of muscle she carrying would decrease her cardio too.
Some games seem to get bonus points based on the developer or an attached name.
A game that looks essentially the same as it did 13 years ago, it shouldn't be called a "remaster". Don't give the game a free-pass on criticism just because its on the Switch.
The series S should have the same CPU and SSD as the series X. It is also reported that the series S has a 4 teraflop Navi GPU and 10GB of GGDR6 Ram. The series X should be able to sustain higher framerates (and faster loading) than the One X, whilst running games at 1080 to 1440p @ 60 FPS.
