The secondary 343i team will probably focus solely on Halo Infinite once Halo 4 MCC PC launches, completing the PC MCC port.
The PS3 is difficult to emulate. PS3 backwards compatibility on PS5 would require translation from PowerPC to x86. Additionally the PS5 likely would have to mimic the PS3’s GPU and CPU.
You don’t need a Fenix collection, all 3 games can be bought separately for a very reasonable price, Gears UE was never even priced at $60. However, I’m surprised Gears 2,3 and Judgment haven’t been ported to PC as of yet.
A single player game shouldn’t require online access to play. And 505 Games should have made sure the XB1 version of the game was properly compressed. At minimum Control’s base game should be fully playable from the disc.
505 Games doesn’t seem to like good PR.
RROD was a big issue 15 years ago....let it go.
Ten years of support is impressive.I miss playing SC 2 ranked, it is a truly competitive, skilled based game.
Switch Lite.
The Switch mainly sells so well because it’s cheap. If the system was a pure console it would have flopped, since Nintendo likes dated specs. The Switch is already in its third year also. I think interest and sales of the Switch will start to drop after the PS5 and Series X enter their first full year.
None of the Halo games in hindsight deserved an M rating. In Europe for the all Halo FPS games are rated PEGI 16 ( https://pegi.info/search-pe... which is the same rating as the Uncharted series ( 2074d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment
Tom Hall, who worked on Doom 1 stated that Doom Guy is descended from B.J. Blazkowicz. John Romero helped create Doom, but he no longer works on the franchise. Current employment does matter. If Doom (2016) and Eternal weren’t as well received as they have been, the franchise would of died.
The two recent Doom games aren’t revisionists. The two recent titles have continued the “Doom Guy’s” story, expanded the lore and confirmed fan theories. Romero left iD and Doom more th...
Except, Romero doesn’t work for iD anymore, what he says isn’t official. Besides it was stated by current iD employees that Doom Guy is descended from B.J. Blazkowicz. Doom Guy’s name, has been was stated as William Blazkowicz before.
Why hasn’t Epic given up? They violated the App Store’s terms of service. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all get a 30% revenue of their store sales. Apple had reasonable grounds for removing Fortnite from the App Store.
The Switch version of the game likely has a low player-base, hence the free trial.
I really wish there was a non-VR version of Half-Life Alyx.
I’m pretty sure Microsoft pays who ever makes their blu-ray drives and prints blu-rays for them. Blu-Ray is owned by the Blu-Ray Association (BRA). Sony is part of the BRA alongside 19 other companies. So Microsoft, likely isn’t paying their Blu-Ray licensing fees solely to Sony.
Microsoft is not going to be bringing most of their games to the Switch. Ori is the only Microsoft owned game [outside of Minecraft (which has always been platform)] to come to the Switch. Microsoft licensed Minecraft characters and Banjo & Kazooie as smash fighters. Nintendo, like Sony pays Microsoft for servers.
I doubt Nintendo will allow X-cloud on the Switch. And Microsoft sure isn’t marking much of an effort to bring their games new or older to the Switch.
I’m not sure if my Samsung can do 4k at 120FPS. Then again I don’t expect many [if any] games to hit 120 FPS at 4k.
Games should not be launching with Day 1 patches. Teams need longer debugging periods.
Epic is a multi-billion dollar company trying to portray itself as a tiny business being exploited by Apple. This simply isn’t true. Epic violated Apple’s terms of service in a failed attempted to Increase their own profits. Epic is crying because their Fortnite revenue on iPhones went from 100s of millions of dollars to nothing at all.
