I agree with you about the gameplay improvements. Combat and stealth in the Last of Us 2 were much more developed than in the first game. However, I also think some aspects of the game’s story were included to “send a message” rather than tell a good story.
I just start playing cyberpunk 2077. I was so hyped for the game I bought a physical steel box version of the game. I haven’t had any glitches [with the exception of seeing a woman with glitched legs] or performance issues so far. However, I’m fortunate enough to playing on a series X. I predicted the PS4 and XB1 version of the game would have issues, way back in 2019. One of Cyperpunk’s gameplay demos ran at only 30fps on a high end PC.
Samus is a much more iconic character than all the listed characters in the article, with the exception of Lara Croft. I’m surprised Sarah Kerrigan wasn’t listed too.
I’m certain digital stores keep their sales cut when refunds are offered.

Optimization usually continues late into a game’s development. CDPR knew the XB1 and PS4 were struggling to run Cyberpunk 2077 for years. Their game is either far too CPU bound to run efficiently on PS4 and XB1, or it’s just under-optimized.
I don't understand why JJ Abrams has been frequently compared to Steven Spielberg. Abrams in my opinion has never made a classic or great film.
Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t belong on the PS4 and XB1. It was only released on last gen consoles because CD Projekt Red needed the revenue from those systems.

A Studios, regardless of their track-records, are not entitled to high review scores. Nor, should studios be given free praise or relaxed scrutiny.

Zero came out 15 years ago lol. I actually remember Perfect Dark Zero being fairly popular on Xbox Live until Halo 3 game out.
The Perfect Darks reboot looks like it’s moving the franchise towards immersive sim style gameplay. Hopefully the title still has MP.
