There was suppose to be no successor to the PS4 and Xbox One too. The PS4 did exceptionally well. Whilst the Xbox One did well too [but below expectations] after having a disastrous first year. I think the PS5 and Xbox series S/X will do just fine. Thus, they will both have successors.
I don’t consider Vgchartz to a reliable source. But I figure the series X will outperform it’s cheaper, less powerful counterpart.
I’ll wait for a more reliable source to report console sale figures. However, I’m interested in the sales ratio of series X vs S consoles.
Microsoft’s studio acquisitions have been spaced out. Studios were purchased [the Initiative was internally built] in 2018 and then in 2019. Their current acquisition of Zenimax is still ongoing due it size and cost. I don’t think Microsoft will purchase more studios until after Zenimax is fully purchased and semi-integrated into the Xbox Division.
The series S has 10Gbs of ram not 8. I still think the series S should have launched with same ram pool and CPU clocks as the series X.
The Series S is for casuals who sub to gamepass ultimate whilst mainly playing Fortnite, Warzone or their annual favourite sports game.
Both Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal were tasked to develop the Avengers game. Deus Ex was sidelined for this title. Hopefully, employees at studios aren’t let go because of this title.
No, Lucas was the creator of Vader (who was not always known as Vader during concept). Vader, or better stated the concept character that became Vader changed during the conceptual stage of Star Wars, not after the film released. Plus, Vader means father in Dutch , the character once finalized for a New Hope was given a name-pun.

Cross-gen titles should be expected. The PS5,just like the Xbox Series S/X was designed to be compatible with its predecessor. Also, game engines are becoming more-and-more scalable across related hardware.
